its in worse shape than in that pic-
however, i m gonna play with it a bit more before i throw it away and make a new one.

i can see it doesn't work, but what do you think went wrong with it?

i mean i see the shape of the ass is non-hanging where it should hang, and the crack severely lacks depth, so that the lower spine doesn't end, but my question is more like where/how you think you went astray with it to put it beyond rescue, and/or when did you decide to toss it?

i like the arms though. good arms. look at them.

the moment i couldnt take bodero out of my head. i dont want it to remind bodero. plus the paint couldnt make it work. perhaps on a fresh canvas, things will flow better.
it was with acrylics at first, then oils.
damn it, i even dreamt about it last night. that the paint cracked.

ah-- botero! i like him. though you're not at all like him. he's more… fantastic, dreamlike. you're into meat.

i saw botero a million years ago so that i can't remember the year but he blew my mind at first and then got integrated to the rest of the landscape and i still like him, but now only from magazines/books/internet etc.

he used to remind me of gaugin a bit but then he did stuff like this

ok did this in the morning in 90mins and i m pleased with it.
the goal was to add color but i m chicken shit.
and of course since then i have done 3 more hand attempts and threw them away, since they were just 5 turds connected to eachother, every time.
