Anngella 10.26.2007 12:52 AM

Those are sweet, Cantankerous.
I think I might call you Cantkankersore.

Cantankerous 10.26.2007 12:55 AM

thanks. usually my approach is to just shoot things how i see, i don't usually stage anything and i happened to be walking by the station on centre st and saw this woman getting booked and saw the opportunity. you gotta be fast.

Anngella 10.26.2007 01:03 AM

Yeah, I definitely understand. I'm the same way. Mostly because I'm bad at planning and directing people.

thanks Emmah, it was inside the Jewish museum (Libeskind). there were a couple of suggestive spaces where you felt a deeply and strange sensation inside you, something like a 'no name' awful feeling.

2 person in the picture are my friends walking up the iron faces making sad ferrous sounds into that big space.

You're trying to link an image directly from your computer, that'll never work. Host your image on a site like http://imageshack.us/

Eeee your pictures are all very dark and hard for me to see. It may be partly due to my monitor, though.

Savage Clone 10.26.2007 05:48 PM

Baby mountain goat in glacier park. I was standing this close. Behind me, the air and a deadly drop.

sorry? meh, ...as long as you don't go around claiming it's yours, it's actually interesting to see what you would do with it... especially since i put these up staight off my camera.

the crop is an improvement... and if i hadn't been there i'd probably say the color shift was an imporvement also... but everything out there has a sun-baked bleached bone look to it... see the bleached grasshoppers on bleached asphalt above...

This is so perfect - http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/f...1/100_0123.jpg

It's album cover worthy for sure. The cat in the foreground is BOSS.

Anngella 10.27.2007 10:13 PM

Wow I lightened it in photoshop and that is so fucking rad. Awesome job. I hate my monitor.

themawt71 10.27.2007 10:33 PM

I've posted pretty much the same picture before. Only it's not really the same picture haha.

Anngella 10.28.2007 01:37 AM

I thought it looked familiar. It's awesome either way.

well, went to venice biennale today.

EMMAh 10.28.2007 11:56 PM

Those are nuts Nicfit. Where the hell were you?

nicfit 10.29.2007 06:51 AM

Thanks! Except for the 1st, all taken @ Art Biennale in venice, different counties' pavillions in the Giardini venue. I'll go and see the other half of the exhibition in Venice Arsenale around november 10th.

nicfit 10.29.2007 02:20 PM

Come visit for the next edition, the venues are amazing, venice is amazing, the art is "variable" but still at least interesting most of the times. Only drawback: exhibition is open from10 am till 6 pm and there are TOO MANY videos (well, video art stuff in general), which are simply too long to stay there and watch till the end, and it's a pity coz you always end up with the feeling of having missed something.

Oh, that sort of giant man/mirror/nature stuff hybrid thing is a "portion" of canada's pavillion. Pretty neat.

I really wish I could go to Venice :) That would be beyond amazing haha.
That's too bad that you can't watch all the videos. Is it expensive to get into the place? Like if it's more than a one day thing could you not go back and catch up on what you missed?

!@#$%! 10.29.2007 09:33 PM

that top-heavy bungalow/studio thing could easily collapse under heavy winds
