Unknown Mortal Orchestra self titled

Three minutes after the end of the last bonus track on the 1997 reissue, there's a hilarious row between Roger McGuinn and Michael Clarke. "Fuck you, motherfucker!"

The album is pretty good too. :D

On pinkish double vinyl. It took me 20 years to listen to Sun 0)). It's OK but I'll save the second LP for tomorrow

For now it's Zappa time!

Held out on this for too long. Gonna listen to it now before the new year rolls over.

Suuns 12" single of Bambi & Red Song. Bought it many years ago from their merch desk because I really liked the sleeve. Now played for the very first time. One of the songs is very cool. 50% chance to guess which is it.

And finally:

I'm very glad that I bought it (the Gorecki symphony with Beth Gibbons). I had listened to it before once on YT and wasn't that impressed. But when played on vinyl over headphones it's marvellous. Especially side A. And I apparently bought the special edition, on red vinyl and a DVD.

I promised myself to listen to more classical music in the new year. This was the first song I played:

Yeah, oh well. I instantly failed :D

There's a difference between classic and classical...

Should have known better when I ordered it: it's out of order and incomplete. But it's the Byrds with Crosby. No horse

Interesting article about it: https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/equinimity/

Also, for a while I thought it was a donkey...

I've started a spreadsheet to keep track of my 2020 albums. I'm fucking tragic.

you’re an accountant, is what you are :D

which is great, btw, because people like me need accountants. don’t get me wrong, i have a decent math brain, it’s the drudgery that kills me.

anyway came here to post this

yes, it’s got more fela, and of course it has some great songs (houses in motion is fucking great) but it also has some so-so ones with a heavy feeling (“the overload”) that almost reminds me of the doors and i don’t know. as a whole, i prefer the less sophisticated but more consistent 77.
