Danny Himself 10.20.2007 03:06 PM

Did you ever get that hm, buzzo?

king_buzzo 10.20.2007 03:13 PM

I think it got lost in the mail :(

its 2-4 weeks shipping and i think this was the 4th week so I'll wait a little bit more before I lose hope.

The guy who sent it wants to refund me, but i already closed my paypal account and i cant be bothered to get another one. (its 20 bucks anyways)

hmm. should I sell my Crybaby for 40 euros?

nicfit 10.20.2007 03:24 PM

why in the world did you close yuor paypal account?

king_buzzo 10.20.2007 03:33 PM

well basically, my credit card got jacked online, someone bought some sh00z and some other stuff, so I closed paypal and the bank people closed my credit card

nicfit 10.20.2007 03:43 PM

ouch! bad people.
hope you'll get the pedal.
no money loss (ok, it's not that much, but it's always annoying).

king_buzzo 10.20.2007 03:59 PM

yeah, it just bugs me that i was excited and waited so long for nothing...

biggest muff 10.20.2007 06:03 PM

Anybody ever use any of the Moogerfooger pedals? I've been looking at this one in particular.

The stuff made by Death by Audio looks pretty nasty, too, but they're even harder to find. I'm pretty sure the guitarist from A Place To Bury Friends owns Death by Audio, and he's got a pretty nifty sound, so presumably he makes good pedals (assuming he uses the pedals that he makes).

What say ye?

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 10.20.2007 11:26 PM

Chout has the ring mod, said he played the freqbox.

I want the freqbox sort of. I don't know.

BTW everyone, I have some new demos out. I got sent a Copilot FX Antenna bit crusher pedal so I recorded some stuff with it

www.soundclick.com/pedaldemos

CHOUT 10.21.2007 01:12 AM

Got a

today!

CHOUT 10.21.2007 01:14 AM

I sold my Moog Ring mod...it's real nice, but I found a setting on my Frequency Analyzer that works well all around...I didn't feel I needed 2 ring modulators.

The Freq Box is "cool, but not nearly worth that amount of money" - direct quote from my friend who has it.

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 10.21.2007 01:26 AM

There is a vintage frequency analyzer on ebay, I'm have tempted to get it.

lowlife 10.21.2007 02:02 AM

what is the frequency analyzer setting that you found?

king_buzzo 10.21.2007 04:01 AM

i never looked into frequency analyzers... i dont know if i can find a use for them...

okay so i got it now, I'm gonna save up for a fender blues jr. and im gonna sell my crybaby for 40 euros.

Then, I'm gonna buy a small stone phaser. Then i'm gonna get a HM-2 if this one does not arrive. and then either a budda or a vox wah... and some more effects.. maybe an EHX Holy Stain and an SMM definately. I need a pitch shifter of some sort...

and then i'll save up for this

I don't know about CHOUT, but i like to tune mine to C# and put it 100% wet

CHOUT 10.21.2007 02:32 PM

I'd have to look at the knobs...I think it's tuned to E with about 60% wet signal.

I just picked these up off craigslist today:

nicfit 10.21.2007 02:36 PM

how much for the cs-2?

CHOUT 10.21.2007 10:11 PM

$50 for each

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 10.22.2007 12:23 AM

Someone offered me a milkbox for 30 on craigslist

king_buzzo 10.28.2007 03:07 AM

so basically, there's a holy stain demo up on youtube from a guy on shortscale, a clip on hcfx as well. It sounds decent. The only thing which sucks is that it can't go entirely clean.

I'm passing this, I think.

CHOUT 10.28.2007 04:27 AM

I haven't bought any gear in a week...
But i have a Nano Small Stone ordered for me at a store.

king_buzzo 10.28.2007 04:31 AM

^You need to demo that and compare it to the normal one.

i want one.

I can, though I doubt there's much difference, aside from the volume drop.

CHOUT 10.30.2007 09:37 PM

Got the Nano Small Stone today. Gonna put it on my board.

shentov 10.31.2007 01:25 AM

well, it's easy to tell.
i have two pedals (spoke about them in a different thread).
both are replicas, made by a local guy, who also built me an amp.

-Naudio Muffhoney (EH Big Muff Pi copy with low frequencies boost)
-Naudio Sonic Fuzz (exact 60's Univox Superfuzz schematic copy, the orange one)

i use them both on bass.
you could tell which bands inspired my bass sound just from the names of my effects, don't you?

asking for pictures?

CHOUT 10.31.2007 03:44 AM

Nah, just lucky to find some good deals on used gear...you should see my poor neglected car...I need to put some $$$ into it!

shentov 10.31.2007 03:52 AM

and i don't even have a car.
i mean, i had a beat up '79 Lada 1500 but gave it to my dad. now he's putting ridiculous amount of money to keep it alive and i am free, wee

CHOUT 10.31.2007 11:50 AM

I'm really not rich...trust me haha. I made under $17,000 last year (that's not much here).

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 10.31.2007 01:48 PM

How's the CS-3?

There is a MIJ CS-3 on CL for 40 bucks. . .

I don't know if I really want a comp though

nicfit 10.31.2007 02:07 PM

cs-3 is blaaah cs-2 is great imo.

Phlegmscope 11.09.2007 06:41 AM

So far my only effect pedal. seems that at low volumes it's pretty useless as it fucks up the sound so that you can't distinguish the notes. Apparently it's capable of very shitty doom / stoner -ish fuzz.

CHOUT 11.10.2007 03:05 AM

Just ordered one of these

Gay-tastic!

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 11.10.2007 04:09 AM

Awesome. I wanna Malekko ekko 600.

I was torn between both, but I'll get one later.

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 11.10.2007 02:03 PM

The main reason I want the Ekko 600 though is the art. The LED being a death ray from a robot is genius.

CHOUT 11.11.2007 04:25 AM

I sold those two boss pedals I got for $50 each for $120 each on ebay to get the B:ASSMASTER!

Also reordered the Behringer Vibrato since I gave mine to a friend for his birthday...it really is a great pedal for $30

Also ended up with a Behringer Slow Motion...haven't use it much yet though.

harmonic octave analog disortion pedal

The Malekko Barker ASSMASTER is inspired by the original Maestro Bass Brassmaster octave pedal. Hand-built by us, this modern version delivers the same octave overdrive/harmonic generation effect in a quiet, fully controllable pedal. It features a recessed LED indicator, a pop-free true bypass switch, and a tough lexan face. The 5 controls provide complete control over the tone, overtones, harmonics and mix of the dry and wet signal.
The pedal is powered by a 9v DC adaptor (neg tip) or internal battery snap.

The ass volume controls the volume of the effected signal
The ass switch selects the tone of the ass
The bass volume is the un-effected signal control; also provides massive gain to the dry signal
Harm selects the harmonic spectrum of the effect
Sensitivity controls the depth and response of the effect from subtle to excessively saturated

I like how they added flowers under the sensitivity writing...nice touch.
