Pavement are hugely influential on my own failed ventures into songwriting. Espeically Slanted & Enchanted. Wowee Zowee and Crooked Rain are pretty impressive albums too.

It was the first song i heard by them, they played it on the radio years ago somehow and i taped it and loved it, and when i finally got wowee zowee several years later it was a completely different version, and i had no idea where the one i knew was. Turns out its on the 2nd cd of the crooked rain reissue, its a bit faster and theres less distortion, i prefer it probably due to sentimental reasons.

Crooked Rain is one of my all time favorite albums...the others follow closely...

I only have S&E Deluxe and CR,CR deluxe. I like CR,CR the best. I can't pick a favorite song but some of my favorites are Here, Silence Kit, Unfair, Range Life, Summer Baby, and Fillmore Jive.

I love Pavement

Favorite is really hard. I have SE CRCR and WZ. I can't decide...I'll just say CRCR for now...

I'd rather listen to Wowee Zowee, Brighten the Corners, or Terror Twilight than the first two albums any day. But mostly Brighten the Corners.

I just listened to Crooked Rain Crooked Rain and I can say that I am impressed.

Yeah that's the first full pavement album I heard too. I think it's a good place to start. Besides that, Summer Babe, In the Mouth a Desert, all of Watery Domestic, We Dance, and Grounded (both versions) are all amazing tracks.

Hmm, I wouldn't say they're similar at all Nomatic. I think they have completley different styles, yet they interacted as bands a lot which was pretty neat!

I just got cr,cr deluxe and haven't listened to it all but I just listened to grounded and it is so awesome. This is an alternate version? Where is the other version?

Film School, the one you left out, is the best post-Pavement band.
