I'm not telling you, you have to read the whole of the previous page of the thread.
I missed the art rock one, so thank you Porky for the link. |
I've found it fairly enjoyable so far, although I am quite perplexed at the various things that were and weren't included...

I don't know whether to blame your lack of understanding of the respective greatnesses of Pink Floyd and heavy metal on your age or your sex. Have you any preference? |

Never Say Die: Heavy Metal The landmark music series continues with the story of heavy metal, the longest surviving, possibly the most controversial and certainly the loudest genre in the Seven Ages of Rock. Emerging at the tail end of the 1960s from Birmingham - with Black Sabbath as its undisputed godfathers - heavy metal went on to conquer the world securing, in the process, the most loyal fan base of all. But, as the programme shows, it all began with an industrial accident in, of all places, a sheet metal factory, which changed the way one key guitarist played and with it the sound of rock. This episode follows the highs and lows of the music that has refused to die and, along the way meets its greatest artists, including Deep Purple, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and Metallica... and of course Ozzy Osborne and Black Sabbath. |
