Anywho, when Phil Ochs lost his mind, he changed his name to John Train and started beating people he knew with his hammer (hence the reference to the hammer in the quote/him holding a hammer). He then killed himself shortly after (hence the halo/gun to the head). It's never been directly said it's Phil Ochs, but all signs point to yes.

i think this album is best left until fall time. these are def. fall/autumn time/earnesty tunes. prob good for rural drives on a crisp afternoon and whatnot. still getting used to the sweeping strings
