I added The Fall on Deaf Ears EP to the folder as well. If you're not familiar with them, it was the band Cedric played drums in, that was fronted by two 17 year old girls that were killed in car accident and whose deaths are the basis for a lot of early ATDI lyrics.

i am loving Hell Paso! it's fantastic especially the beginning to Emptiness Is A Mule, i have new found love and respect for Cedric.

I don't think the guitars are entirely clean man. Listen to the solo on Star Slight and the intro to Schaffino.

I also think that the drumming on Ticklish deserves special mention.

Still sound clean to me. More gain maybe.

Definately not Minutemen clean, which was the impression I got when I read your review. Other than that, you summed up my feelings about the album pretty damn well.

yeh I was listening to it recently, and its really really great.

I've been jamming Hell Paso, Alfaro Vive, Carajo! and El Gran Orgo for a couple of days now. I'm heading for another big ATDI kick.

giving this a listen at the moment, but its not enough to surpass everything they did afterwards; InCasinoOut and Relationship of command are pretty unimpeachable

I listened to this in my car all last week, incredible album.

IN/CASINO/OUT I think is their worst, it's got some songs I just simply can't stand. "IS IT MONO OR STEREO?!" and "I WANNA BE AN ASTRONAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT TTT"

Still, one of the best bands ever.

Thats pretty heretical to my ears Cooley, there are many more forgettable tunes on Acrobatic tenement than In Casino Out

I saw these playing Reading and decided to go down the rocky nostalgic path and go through every album/ep. I was immediately transported back to the college car park 12 years ago sitting in my car with mates stoned beyond belief listening to Relationship Of Command. Good times, but the music now sounds complete adolescent tosh. However i'd never heard this Acrobatic Tenement before and it's OK . . contains atdi's catchiest riffs and melodies but still the shitty screaming. Overall their best release.

still love everything about them. the adolescent tosh, Cedric's shitty screaming, etc.

RELATIONSHIP is my least fav.
