an ever more accurate prediction as Islam is approaching a higher proportion of the planet then Christianity, as Arabic is become more dominant a langauge then Spanish (#1 language) and English (#2 language)..

In Addis Abeba, Ethiopia, there were 100 Churches built in the past 100 years, in a society that is one of the oldest Christian communities on the planet. However, Islam is equally imbedded in Ethiopia, and in the past TEN years, over 200 hundred Mosques have been built. The city of Harar in Ethiopia is considered the fourth Holiest city in Islam!

Instead of building churches and mosques they should have been farming and building housing...y'know helping people...instead of preparing for death or the apocalypse.

I cant imagine any scenario where such a situation would be viable, i imagine its all part of the "adventure" for your freind, making him feel like he's some kind of free spirit. One needs to see past the material trappings of pretending you are outside the moral system.
No, in other words

To me relations with strict rules on seeing pother people doesn't make sense to me because what is teh point of marriage? Is it the fact that getting married is making this relationship accepted? I guess it goes with my beliefs about how people rally are just animals and as living creatures we need to make babies. I don't know of much aniamls that stick to one mate their entire lives.
I'm not good at explaining things in detail. but basically Im for mutiple budies, even though I'd get mad jelous.

I stopped getting jealous and controlling many years ago.

Unfortunately, there's too many stds floating around these days though.

why can't they build both? That is like saying build the town without the plaza, where will the community come together then?

yes, be we are not talking about one dumbass or another, we are talking about millions of people, and we all know how difficult it is to get millions of people to agree on anything, so lets give religion some credit at that. people talk about religion as being an opiate for the masses, or as a dividing factor in human society, but to be honest, religion is far more unifying in practice then other human institutions.

There seem to be 2 threads going on here, but I'll respond to the one about being a whore. Just kidding. But before I read through the entirety of your query, I was going to say "sure," if it was tactfully done, and the two-(or three- or four-)timer was completely honest with everyone involved. Some people just have that ability to be ok with not being the "only one," (though this probably works better if the feelings involved skew more towards the "really like" end of the spectrum, as opposed to the "love" end). But there is nothing "tactful" about hanging out with more than one bf at the same time. That's just a childishly self-centered recipe for drama. Not to mention kind of uncomfortable for anyone else there who knows the situation.

When he first told me I thought that he might have had some difficulties expressing what he meant by boyfriends, and he was thinking about shag-buddies, but it turns out that his situation is not exactly as simple as that.

Everytime I meet him while I'm out, one, two or more of his boyfriends can be there with him, generally trying to ignore each other or bickering due to jealousy. The person in question (he's an acquaintance of a friend of mine) isn't particularly attractive looking or wealthy, but he still manages to keep the boat floating, flaws and all.

Do you know anyone who put themselves through super-complicated realtionships similar to this?

I've had two girlfriends at the same time before, and it was basically because each filled a certain need the other couldn't (one I pretty much just had sex with, the other I never did get that far). Between the two it was like I had one complete girlfriend. They didn't know each other or run in the same circles at all, and both knew the other existed.

In the end it made sense to keep looking for one person who filled both roles better.

I've also knew a married couple in a specifically declared "open" relationship that seemed they had more rules to protect each other and everyone else involved than I could ever stand to live with myself.

This guy sounds different - he sounds as if he's using the jealousy of each guy to the other four to make himself look more valuable. He's turned himself into an E-bay auction, and at the root of it he's just a pet rock or an Alf alarm clock (to paraphrase Weird Al). He 'aint worth nothin' on his own.

Apparently Rasputin had the same "problem"(illus 1)
Some people thought it was his gaze, that got him mad pussy but my dear I think it was his massive prick.(illus 2)
What's that you say?, "who's ever heard of an asian with a massive cock?" Certainly not I, so I'll be damned if I know how he does it.
But I do know that your friend has got the whole relationship thing all wrong;

A boy in the bush is worth two in the hand, or something like that.

The question that came to my mind is : how long has he known each bf? How long had he known any friend at all?
The only juggler I knew would break a relationship within a couple of years, mostly because her friends got tired of listening to her rather than having her pay attention to them once in a while.

sarramkrop 12.27.2007 12:45 PM

I think that only 2 of them he has known for some time, but one of them I think he's only known for about a month or just over that length of time. The other two I still haven't met, if they exist at all.

What I don't understand about it is that the two guys who are out and about with him the most seem really attached to him in a kind of protective way, either because they are both a bit emotionally self-destructive (I can't see any other way these things will eventually end up like) or because they genuinely haven't got much experience with other guys.

I must admit that there is something about him that I find more creepy than anything, not because he is a creep as such, but because it does come across like he is projecting his insecurity in a controlling way on some guys who are obviously insecure themselves. Last week there was another bloke in the frame, but by that time every mutual aquaintaince who we have in common is starting to see the whole thing like the sorry spectacle that it sounds and looks like.

I think open relationships are how we're meant to be - free, no bounds etc and the likes. But it simply wouldn't work if we all did it. Imagine if the world all believed in open relationships? Imagine getting home from work or whatever and your neighbour casually strolling out of your bedroom from fucking your partner as they smile at you on the way out and ask how your day was?

Wouldn't work.

You're right, Norma J, it certainly would not work.

And that's just yet another reason why mutual adherence to Hassan e Sabbah's epitaph (& later, Crowley's nihilistic creedo) of "Do What Thou Wilt Shall Be The Whole of the Law" would drastically speed up the extinction of homo sapiens.

Darwin rather intrinsically and obviously informs us that a good portion of human nature is instinctual animal nature. And without civilization, this would quickly become all the more readily apparent.

Now I'm a person that accepts evolution as a fact and not a theory. To me, it's dense to insist that evolution is "just a theory" when it provides the underpinnings to every scientific field from Archaeology to Zoology. Similar in this aspect is that Relativity is no theory, but scientific fact beyond any doubt providing the basis for our modern understanding of the universe.

But I'm also a person that believes in God. By the way, so did Darwin and so did Einstein. Our universe originates with the Big Bang and the method by which life arose and adapts to the environment is by what we understand as biological evolution, that's all.

Unfortunately, too many people, some of them highly intelligent even, for whatever reason(s), fail to reconcile evolution or relativity with a belief in God. It's absolutely astounding to me and a source of great dismay that here we are in the twenty-first century, long after the revolutionary discoveries of Darwin and Einstein, and people are still so ridiculously foggy over all of this.
