Don't worry, I usually send my sister to do it.

Nah. I predict the Iowa thing is either a fluke and Hillary will go on to win the nomination (and presidency), or else she'll join Obama as v.p. on the ticket, and Obama will win. In either case, we'll see Hillary in the White House again about a year from now.

You heard it here first.

I don't think it would be appropriate for Hillary to be vice president, she has much much more experience than Obama. I don't see her making that accomodation. It'll be interesting how NH goes. She sounded good in her speech last night, but who is the Rasputin-like guy standing right behind her - he has eyes that move independently of each other and during her speech it was really distracting to see this unshaven scruffy guy with his eyes going all cockeyed.

I'm going to predict it'll be Ghouliani vs Edwards with Ron Paul running as an independent 'spoiler' and Ghouliani will win.

gmku 01.04.2008 12:05 PM

In any case, I predict it will be She (the Hillary) and He (the Obama) on the Democratic ticket, in either position. One way or the other, they'll be Prez and VP next year.

Mark my words!

Imagine the campaign button possibilities!

Either: HO! or OH!

Yes that is the truth, Hillary or Obama will be in the White House one way or another. What I find fascinating is that it was a black person who won the caucus. It may seem trivial to many, but it is an important point in our History.

And in Iowa no less! Not exactly the most ethnically diverse state in the union.

✌➬ 01.04.2008 05:07 PM

I see what you did there.

gmku 01.04.2008 05:10 PM

What? I had nothing to do with making it less diverse than it was to begin with. I was just one more white guy. And some of my best friends there were black.

I won't argue i had only two hours of sleep, and whatever I say will sound more incoherent than when I am awake. Bye I am off to bed.

i have been thinking that as well, as any of the other 3 may not be inclined to settle (or in edwards case settle again), I always thought Joe Biden would be a nice choice too for Veep, as someone people like but wouldn't vote for at the top spot

...or maybe we should resurrect this campaign:

I met Jello. He's a certified kook.

Now Ian Mackaye for president, I could get behind.

Obama is like a cult, like wish fulfillment - maybe I've only seem the bad speeches but his speeches say nothing, just mumbojumbo the same old 'we need change to come together and fulfill our American Dream' shit...Bill Richardson at least says "As president I will do this 1.2.3."

Aren't they all like that, not just Obama? And thats the point, if his & the rest of the candidates were public about their policies 1) people would see they're all the same 2) they'd see the policies benefit only the rich & powerful and work to maintain US supremecy.
Since this is all organised by marketing firms, they do the exact same thing as when their product is the same as every other on the market.
So instead we get "just mumbojumbo the same old 'we need change to come together and fulfill our American Dream' shit" and 'values' and fear of one thing or another and schoolyard name calling and image projection (Bush the simple everyman; Kerry the effete liberal) and all the rest.
