![]() i admire Leibniz for the Monad. and although this is only a theoretical substance - and hence as ephemeral, shimmering, beautiful, and perhaps even more difficult to pick up than say, a chunk of STYLE - the theory of the monad posits a universal substance, and so belongs here with the base, inert, and ugly things that are easy to pick up, like a chunk of coal or steel... in the SUBSTANCE thread. |

Is "substance of character" a poor answer? Does it need to be an element of their character? If so, I respect the conviction to their ideas, ideas that I too share.
