Is this Robert Downey Jr? - Holy Jolson, Batman!! SO yeah - accents. Who's to say what's racist and what's not. What offends one person, won't affect another and blah, blah, blah... I really suck at accents - even my own default Australian accent is shite. People keep thinking I'm from England (where exactly?) because they reckon I sound posh, but truly - my voice sounds like a mix between Jimi Hendrix, Kermit the Frog and a head trauma patient.... |
"bla bla what does race even mean"
you know what i mean so stfu |
you said that like an aborigine, didn't you?

jajajajaja, ñero is like saying "dude", it doesn't denote regionality.

No. I mimic people's accents all the time and have never offended anyone. But there have been situations where I've seen people mimic offensively. You have to have a sense of appropriateness. If in doubt, don't do it.

I still hate that word.

i do too, synth, i do too.

In treatment we couldn't say
"OHHHHH, WHAA HAPPPEEEN???" Because it was offensive to asian people apparently. |

birmingham accents are annoying as hell |
Also I have been watching episodes of Father Ted which has temporarily made all posts read here by me in an Irish accent.
Even my own. Jesus, Mary.... |
I think it's ok if you're like recreating a scene that you witnessed. But if you're doing it to be racist then it is.

I've been making fun of a Scottish girl in my class all week, but really I just think it's fucking awesome. "Yeh dinnae ken any'hin, lassie!"
