besides sonic youth, i'd say deftones and radiohead the most.

no matter what, those two bands CANNOT make a bad record.
though the last deftones one kinda came close

I didn't like Saturday Night Wrist at first, but now that it's had time to process I honestly think it's just as good as anything else they've done. It's much smoother and...watery? I guess. It's different enough to keep the sound fresh, but they still have all their good qualities.

it takes a couple of listens. Mein and Rapture were the killer tracks that got me hooked though.

I didn't think they'd even make another album because of all of Chino's shit they put up with on SNW. I wouldn't be too disappointed, though, cause then Chino would commit to Team Sleep, and I really want another Team Sleep album.

I forgot to mention Yo La Tengo. Most consistent band I can think of.
