Well-said, my friend.

If only everyone was as honest.

I'm just listening to the Future of War in preparation for some Friday night drinking. Still the most perfect band imaginable.

Genteel Death 12.11.2009 03:16 PM

Any band that invites personally the mighty Brainbombs to play gigs with them will always be fine in my book.

atsonicpark 05.07.2010 05:42 AM

hey, they're back

Glice 05.07.2010 06:08 AM

The new song is actually good as well! It's not quite FUCK ALL!!! but at least it's not the Rage EP (arguably the worst thing anyone otherwise very good has ever done).

SYRFox 05.07.2010 08:57 AM

I'M SEEING THEM LIVE ON SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!
I CAN4T FUCKING WAIT!!!!!!

The album Burn Berlin Burn doesn't really count as an album in my books. Its a combination of tracks off Atari Teenage Riot (Self-Titled) and The Future Of War, that was released for North America market only on the Beastie Boys' Grand Royal label. Its either you like Self-Titled or you like The Future Of War.

For me, I have intense love for The Future Of War and 60 Second Wipe Out. They're a very important group to me and embody all the sounds I want to hear. I'm excited they're coming back. For you who are not familiar with the group their main man MC, Carl Crack died back in 2001 from drug overdose. So they're kinda resurrecting the group from the ashes.

Don't forget to check out Alec Empire. He's the driving force behind the whole group and has put out amazing solo material. He's even remixed Thurston's ROOT project.

Derek 05.08.2010 07:36 AM

atsonicpark picked this because it's all the best tracks from those two albums and is a good introduction to the band.

alyasa 05.08.2010 07:57 AM

The Future of War is their best, most abrasive album... But yeah BBB is a good starter kit...

SYRFox 05.09.2010 03:03 PM

They were mindblowing. My ears are bleeding.

Derek 09.16.2010 04:18 PM

I'm listening to Carl Crack's only solo album right this minute. It's quite surprising how marvelous yet massively ignored it is.

Glice 09.16.2010 04:42 PM

Black Ark? I wouldn't say it was as good as a lot of DHR stuff, but it's definitely good. As good as Christoph de Babylon's If you're into it... No. It really isn't. Better than CD1 of intelligence and sacrifice and all of Elias' efforts, certainly. Better than the first Cobra Killer record? Yes. But not that underrated, dead though he is.

Genteel Death 09.16.2010 05:09 PM

Christoph de Babylon was the first DHR artist that left me cold. I much prefer Patric Catani solo, to name a random one.

Glice 09.16.2010 05:12 PM

Catani was great, for a while, but... well, I always come back to Ec8or over anything else he's been involved in.

atsonicpark 09.16.2010 08:30 PM

I've been getting into Alec Empire's solo stuff. Really surprised at how good LOW ON ICE is.

Derek 09.17.2010 03:15 AM

The second disc on 'Intelligence and Sacrifice' is mindblowing.

Glice 09.17.2010 03:56 AM

Did y'all ever hear Alec Empire vs Elvis Presley? Fucking brilliant record.

atsonicpark 09.17.2010 04:10 AM

^ Yeah, it's amazing!

Glice 09.17.2010 04:38 AM

Never saw this video at the time. Good work, Mr Virus.
