i havent been able to find much magik markers to listen to so far, however i love the song "ferreting the rabbit". When i saw you guys last there was a great song about being stuck in a town with nothing to do as a teenager and how terrible it was.. i thought shed dig younger listeners identifying with that. Im 16 and from Lynchburg VA.

anyway thanx for posting the dates. SO glad markers are playing on a weekend in Austin (will be hell driving back on a sunday night with ringing ears and going to work monday morning but so worth it), so i will definitely catch a show. cant wait! long live the markers!

The times I've seen the Markers have been really organic experiences.They evolve right before your eyes and whatever direction it takes,you are swept along.Some people can't take the freedom,or the pure feminine energy of it all.

i wonder how much drugs people who like them take before seeing them.

i took none, maybe a couple of gin & tonics @ arthurfest, zero at noise against fascism. and i met them in the backstage @ arthurfest. they are really wonderful people-- besides being spectacular on stage. i wish you stopped so irrationally picking at them. i hope it's not out of jealousy-- their success, though circumscribed to a small segment of the population, is well deserved. perhaps you should start a band instead of harboring such spite. i swear man, you have to see them live to know. it's like (here goes a cliche) discussing colors with the blind. you're one of my favorite posters here and i won't be disrespectful, but really, you don't know what you're talking about until you've been there. and i hope you get a chance.

fair enough, you love them. i occasionally like them. just two things for the record:

1) i saw them open for dinosaur jr, they came, turned on their amps did a spectacular mediocre and generic noise display for less than 30 minutes while sawying back and forth while eliza mumbled something and they left. also, i was right in front of the stage, i saw them upclose.

i dont like them that much, only listened to one live cdr, its ok except for the terrible boring drumming, anyways I would go see them if they came around Pittsburgh just because no one else does( not saying they are coming to pittsburgh though)

oh maybe we shouldn't because we sound like dogshit i actually had the unfortunate pleasure to listen to that nonsense fusion of noise meets techno meets grindcore punk... boring.

I just got back from seeing them in Iowa City, and it twas a blast. Totally intense show followed by a confusing DJ set that featured random noises, hip-hop and a really loud punk song. To add to the fun a very drunk Twig Harper was tagging along with them and he ended up in a pillar climbing contest with a couple of locals. Then there was this guy called Shawn/Shane who I think might be the drummer in Lambsbread just went around fucking shit up with maximum force.
