1. The Eternal
2. Together Through Life 3. Relapse I really would like to listen to some more underground stuff from this year. |

Eternal = Yes. But I was really disappointed in the other 2. Eternal / Battery Park MPP For All I Care Born Like This Boss Of All Bosses SOmetimes I Wish We Were An Eagle One Foot In The Grave reissue |
yeah relaspse was alright but after listenin to doom's born into this and mos def's ecstatic i realized it pretty below average for a hip hop album even this year!

Exactly. RELAPSE excited me at first, cuz I was like "WOW! A new Eminem album!" But after only 2 or 3 listens it became evident that it was frankly, not very good. BORN LIKE THIS (Born Into This was the working title  ) is great. But so far, Slim Thug's BOSS OF ALL BOSSES is my favorite hip hop LP of the year. There's still 6 long months to change that of course). EDIT: Viewtiful Alien, if you don't have the Slim Thug yet, you NEED to get it. YOU of all people will love it. |
do eps count?
The Raveonettes - Beauty Dies makes me giddy. if not... Born Like This is hard to beat. (I've yet to listen to The Eternal -- :p ) |
EP's count where I come from.
|
ahh not again i keep gettin the title wrong of MF DOOM's album lol
hmm ill check slim thug now, havent yet btw if your into mos def his new album is awesome. |

ordered it yesterday! |
yeah the ecstatic is pretty good. Its not better than black on both sides, but is a return to a former standard of mos-def quality. Somebody on another thread called him boring andspiritual or something of that nature and while I get where they are coming from, he is not that preachy on this record, plus the beats are on point.
In other hip hop releases has anyone heard the new Marco Polo and Torae? This is great, grimey NYC mixtape style shit. ![]() |
^nope. Gimme the downlow on it, though.
|
Anyway, I'm pretty into this right now:

So that one is worth picking up?
I've been getting into g-funk lately. |
It's really a good throwback Gangsta Rap fun BBQ record. You know? I'm feeling it a lot.
