I guess this is just around the corner - who's gonna be there?

jennthebenn 09.14.2010 02:46 PM

Me and Patrick, for two.

nicfit 09.14.2010 03:05 PM

There's a pizza pic ready at your table.

jennthebenn 09.15.2010 12:12 AM

"Eternal" pizza? We had mille feuille in London, once, in tribute to the
greatest album ever.

I'm a new poster here, so I apologize in advance if this is inappropriate - but my friend bailed and I have an extra Garden Box ticket to this show, at face value if anyone wants it. It's the seat next to mine. curto at mindspring.com.

not inappropriate at all. hope you can get rid of yr extra tix. can't wait for this show! :)

Georgekrz 09.25.2010 09:47 AM

I will be there as well, trying to figure out what to do in LA before the show.

Going to Las Vegas the next day, anyone else doing that?

faggot mangler 09.25.2010 01:53 PM

TacomaMike, I'll give you $20 if you can't find anyone.

What's up w/ the Hollywood Bowl? Is it OUTSIDE? It looks insanely huge. I tried to lookup tickets on ticketmaster (for one person) and going alone there are tickets in the third row still available. Seems like a really weird place to see a show. It's too expensive for me, really. But I'm dying to go. I hope I win one of those contests!

TacomaMike 09.25.2010 03:14 PM

I'm doing the same thing - driving to Vegas Friday morning!

re:I will be there as well, trying to figure out what to do in LA before the show.

Amoeba Music isn't that far away. You can come by and say hello to me. There probably isn't enough time but you can eat at Palms Thai for cheep and see Thai Elvis perform there. I also recommend possibly checking out Family Bookstore (eat at canter's deli across the street). Ooga Booga (in chinatown) isnt' bad although I've never actually found anything there I wanted. If you like museums i recommend the BROAD at LACMA. Or Paul McCarthy just opened a show in venice with a great sculpture of an animatronic George Bush fucking a pig.

Georgekrz 09.26.2010 10:31 AM

Thanks for that info! I'm staying right in the area (right by Hollywood/Highland Ave stop) so stopping by to say hello is a definite possibility, haha! Awesome tips. Im flying in wed night so all of thursday to do whatever. I did the Griffith Observatory, Venice and Santa Monica last time. Hollywood and Downtown LA, hopefully there's enough time...

YES! Excellent suggestions hiland. Jenn & Patrick & I will be in to see you before show, Amoeba is a must when in LA. They're coming to my house & then we're heading out to take down some Hollyweird action before show. I seriously hope they like Thai cuz I need to see a Thai Elvis! Last one I saw was black.

jennthebenn 09.27.2010 12:24 AM

The J & P Show swears by Thai food. It's like our official food.

Chris Lawrence 09.28.2010 04:19 AM
