these are what i meant, stacked on top of one another in a long row.

I sort my cds in a tower alphabetically, bottom-up. And stashed away under my stereo, i have my box sets and old pop-punk cds. Because maybe someday i'll want to listen to a Dollyrots cd...

And above my turntable I have my records. Alphabetical, right to left. And next to those are my 7 inches in a box.

And i shop for cds like 3 times a week. It's a horrendous habit.

I arange my music in no particular order. I have about 150 CDs and about 200 cd-rs. I go to the record store and browse all genres and all isles when I only have enough for one cd.

i thought direct drive turn tables were supposed to affect the sound in a bad way compared to a belt driven one?

anyway, i haven't really got into the autistic side of record collecting, i don't have doubles of anything, that ppractice doesn't make one bit of sense to me what so ever. why spend money on something you already have when you could take a chance on something unknown?
the most valuable things i own are probably come of my rarer fushistusha CDs, fursaxa's madrigal's in duos, double leopards - halve maen or magik markers - i trust my guitar.
the most i've ever paid would be about £40 for one of those fushitsusha CDs.
I keep stuff filed alphabeticly.

how much & how often i buy is totally depended on how much money i have. i've been broke since may, so i've only bought 9 CDs in the last 4 months. part of the reason i'm broke at the moment though is because i bought about 100 between january & april.

Cantankerous 08.23.2006 07:35 PM

40 pounds? that's like 80 us dollars! you're fucking insane.

well it is $80 bucks but in terms of value it's more like $40, i mean £40 in england will buy you approximately as much stuff as £40 dollars will in america.
and i'd be surprised if you can get that CD for much cheaper, it's quite rare.

Cantankerous 08.23.2006 07:46 PM

yes but that would cost me $80. fuck that shit.

Toilet & Bowels 08.23.2006 07:50 PM

yeah well $80 don't mean nothing in comparison to the majesty encoded within that disc.

Cantankerous 08.23.2006 07:52 PM

i don't care if it's fucking white light/white heat. it's not worth $80.

Alex's Trip 08.23.2006 07:54 PM

I think I am going to take some of Rob's advice and go out and buy one (or order if I must) as soon as I get paid for filming that funeral.

Cantankerous 08.23.2006 07:57 PM

that's rad that you're getting paid to film a funeral.

Toilet & Bowels 08.23.2006 08:02 PM

who would pay someone to film a funeral?

Alex's Trip 08.23.2006 08:02 PM

Yeah it is. My sister got paid to take pictures.

The guy that I work for. He owns a video company. Since he already has the equipment why not? It was his mom that died.

hahahahaha! Funerals are really sad. but that's very funny. I could just imagine you, with a suit on and a blank stare on your face as you zoom in on crying faces

T&B- No kidding. I've only been to one in my life. Crazy.

Oh, it is. It is.

Toilet & Bowels 08.23.2006 08:05 PM

why the hell would someone want to watch a video tape of their mother's funeral? It's so morbid!

Alex's Trip 08.23.2006 08:07 PM

Thats what I thought. But who I am to question? I'm getting paid.

Toilet & Bowels 08.23.2006 08:13 PM

yeah, i'm not saying i wouldn't do the work.

A mint original of White Light/White heat will set you back about 60 bucks.
The banana album is the pricey one.

And as far as Fushitsusha goes, you can spend a hell of a lot more than that, especially for vinyl.
