i only stop buying records when i go broke (like i am right now). i don't even like downloading anymore, because it takes the pleasure out of physically getting the album.

Luckily, there's a dearth of vinyl shops round here, but I did find a Sunday market with an absurd amount of stuff on Sunday. 20 quid, 11 LPs though, I'm quite pleased.

i don't get to take advantage of my housemate's discount, as the nature of the shop is that a significant proportion of the clientele are friends with the owner/employees and limited money to be made in that field, so there's no buying of records for friends on the cheap.

that is the funniest thing i have read on this board in ages

there is nothing like the smell of a good record store with all the vinyl and the crusty floorboards and holding that 12" gatefold in your hands why the records spin hypnotically on the truntable platter.

I just bought one Screaming Trees 'Dollar Bill' orange vinyl a couple of weeks ago, I've set myself the task of completing 6 college assignments before buying my next. I think I'm going to get 'Sonic Nurse', haven't heard it yet, but people tell it's really good.
