There are bands that exasperate me. AC/DC, Incubus, etc, whatever.

But I hate it when people treat genres and bands like sports teams or some shit.

And also I'll be the same kind of annoyed if I heard music that I love in the wrong situation, like hearing loner tunes played in a popular bar.

Though I have not liked any full albums these bastards have written, War and The Joshua Tree in particular are both about half-great (half the songs are great, the other are dull). And obviously they have become one of the most easily despised bands in the world (for good reason, fucking cunts), but let us never forget how fucking awesome "Sunday Bloody Sunday" is.


And the motherfucker I wish would die: Lil Wayne. What the fuck is his deal? Why the fuck is he so acclaimed? I strongly believe Lil Wayne is the epitomization of everything that has gone wrong with music. Bad fucking vocoder-disguised vocals over every, EVERY single bland fucking beat with way too many annoying 808 snare rolls, and now the prick is writing just the absolute worst "rock" songs and posing with a guitar in his shittily tattooed shitty fuckin' arms in every picture and video he can be in.

at least they go out of their way to make their OWN music and take their work seriously. people that sell their souls for big record labels (basically all that top 40 bull shit) should be the ones on everyones list. in my opinion.

its one thing to not enjoy somebodys music.. but c'mon their still artists in their own right. people should be respectful of their art form. its bands that are so generic and corperate and all about that $$$$$$$$$$ that should FUCK OFF.

I'm never in a situation where I'm stuck listening to any of those mentioned artists/bands. For me to hate something, I need to have a reason. I never am forced to listen to most things I dislike, but almost every time I'm in a car with a friend whose picked the music, it ends up being Radiohead or Opeth (otherwise it's usually stuff I dig). It's hard to hate something that you aren't affected by.

it's stupid to hate shitty bands, they're harmless, i only hate people who are good musicians and use their skills to make horrid shit, it takes alot of talent and creativity to make something i absolutely can't stand

It's not really that strange for people not to like The Fall. They are talked about in such a way like they are the only good band that made records when they're not. I like The Fall a lot, and still quite a few of their records totally pass me by.
