To be honest, he really didn't grab my attention like most stand-up comedians I like. I just think there are alot better stand-up performers out there.

Wow, nobody has mentioned Bill Cosby. Anyone ever seen "Bill Cosby...Himself"? Classic concert film. You don't have to say the "7 dirty words you can't say on television and radio" in order to be funny.

LifeDistortion 08.20.2006 01:27 PM

Also while techinally not stand-up comedians, these two are brilliant at what they do:

I'll be kind in correcting you sir, but I did mention Bill in my first list that I made for this thread. I grew up w/ Bill's comedy. I always remember listening to his LP's w/ my father & laughing @ such a unique type of humour.

But, I grew up w/ a weird comedic upbringing. I grew up, along w/ Bill, Cheech & Chong (@ a vrey young age) George Carlin, etc. Just outreagous comedians that a little 6 year old kid shouldn't be listening to.

LifeDistortion 08.20.2006 03:24 PM

So you did, I stand corrected, and am humble enough to admit my mistake, but for the rest of you....shame!!! J/K

I'm going to guess this is not the first time this list has been made, it being in alphabetically order and all... but that's just a hunch... :)

acousticrock87 08.20.2006 10:59 PM

Brian Posehn is really good. Doesn't have a whole lot of stand-up stuff to go by, though.

LifeDistortion 08.21.2006 12:48 AM

When did Mitch Hedberg die? How did he die? He was a pretty good comic from the few television appearances I've seen him on. I guess since he was mostly a stand-up comic and didn't get a chance to do tv or films or not much at any rate, he never became a household name.

krastian 08.21.2006 02:35 AM

Oh and Dave Attell.

Style 08.21.2006 05:01 AM

Gilbert Gottfried
