Who are you anyway? Were you on the old board? I don't ever remember seeing you around.

alyasa 05.29.2006 10:25 PM

Ok sure. Anything you say.

I'm a Nazi spy, sent to undermime American democracy, liberty and freedom of speech. Do you want to put me in an interment camp?

honestly i used to think atari was a douche, most likely cause i was a douche.
now khchris is a douche, or maybe im just a douche?

oh and atarti, thanks for the PM :)

atari 2600 05.29.2006 10:37 PM

not to speak for anyone really except myself (but hopefully one knows what i mean) we all have the capacity to be psycho douchebags, negative creeps & stoned (in some way) sometimes just like a thousand threads wrote...haha...i am, however, 100% for removing malignant cancer from the board...anyone that could help me out in that regard by reporting bad posts would be much appreciated...

one of my best friends in high school & I instantly disliked each other & then became great friends. he's the one that moved away to guthrie/edmond/okc, ok & saw early the flaming lips shows. then he moved back to ga where i was at the time & we were still great friends. we used to send cassettes back & forth in the mail...

sorry for being a douchebag to ya, but yeah, you might have been one too...live & learn...i couldn't get past that username of thurstonmoore & it wasn't just me...i was an ass about that recording...i wouldn't even mention it, but you did the other day, so...

!@#$%! & I got in an argument about film when he was first on the board & i was being a dumbass or something...

As we travel through hill and valley
Ridin' away don't know what you do when you accuse me
You're talking about yourself
You think you're a giant
You think you're a nothing hey hey
(You drive them away)
(You drive them away)

You spread lies and discontent I wish you could see yourself
You drive them away
Through hill and valley
Ridin', ridin', ridin', ridin'
A-hey-hey
(You drive them away)
(You drive them away)

You think you're a giant you know you're nothing hey
Nothing to do with me
You're gone ridin', ridin', ridin'
You spread lies and discontent
I wish you could see yourself
(You drive them away)
(You drive them away)

Drivin'
As you travel through hill and valley
Ridin' away
Ridin' away
A-hey-hey
You drive them away
A-hey-hey
(You drive them away)
(You drive them away)

Well you accuse me you talk about yourself you think you're a giant but you're nothing
You're talking to yourself
And no one else
A-hey-hey
(You drive them away)
(You drive them away)

Buster
I wish you could see yourself you drive them away
No matter what I say
Hey hey
As you travel through hill and valley drive them away
That's what I say
(You drive them away)
(You drive them away)

You think you're a giant you think you're a giant hey
As you travel through hill and valley listen what I say
Nothing to do with me
Just ride away
(You drive them away)
(You drive them away)

While you're ridin' away you remember everything
That I say
Hey hey
Hear what I say
You drive them away
Hey hey
What I say

geez..
i've been gone for so long, and huge amounts of must-read material has accumulated..
fun thread guys..

but atari, why indulge, man..?

ozZuB-ginK 05.30.2006 03:11 AM

well i used to not like atari from a long time ago, during the 2004 prez campaign, when i defended voting for nader or another independent candidate ( i voted for kerry after all) and he flamed me as well as the melvins. but i have since grown to enjoy reading his posts and like him as a poster/person (even tho i don't know him personally). i can't really say the same for khchris

alyasa 05.30.2006 05:02 AM

Are you referring to the maturity of my posting content? Because I do realise, the level and quality of my content is nowhere near as refined or polished, as say, Glice, or Porkmarras, or truncated, Everyneurotic, RdTV, Hip Priest; or even HaydenAsche, and I'm no genius or superstar who needs to completely redefine and reshape the universe to my own needs and specifications; and I realise some of my posts do lack substance or depth, (these were probably short sentence posts, that were in threads that were already relatively 'light' to begin with), and when the thread is mature and requires depth and/or substance, I do my requisite best to live up to the quality inherent in such threads, I do sometimes fall flat, but otherwise I refrain from trying to embarass myself too much; and maintain, little though my abilities in that area, a semblance of propriety in regards to the other posters, though I realise I may still offend; but I'm not the one posting antagonistic, aggresively hostile posts; that are dripping with emnity towards the members of the SY fan community; no, you're the one doing that. This whole post has been 3 sentences, including this one.

khchris(original) 05.30.2006 05:07 AM

Alot of people here dislike me because I'm different.

I will generalize when needed(and yes, it is needed at times), I'm not a conformist that fits in just for the sake of having friends(which most people here do), I am not afraid to speak my mind, but most of all, I push buttons where buttons are needed to be pushed.

If you're a bully, chances are I've pushed your buttons and you probably hate me. Everyone who's pretty easy-going with no ego whatsoever, who does not bully people around here get along with me pretty well. I clash with strong-minded personalities and bullies, so if you hate me because you think I'm a "bully", well it may do you some good to take a look in the mirror and see just exactly why I've made you mad.

I am also fair. I'm always open to conversation and talking things out, but I'm also open to public ridiculing of others when they need to be.

Why do I "push buttons" and drive people to hate me?

Simple: to change the way most of you think.

I think most(not all) are conformist that feel threatened by "new ideas" or a different way of thinking. It's the reason why most of you call people "christian fundamentalists" and "kkk"...because you just don't have an answer or a solution to combat a new or different way of thinking.

I play devils advocate 99% of the time to get most of you out of your comfort zones and to challenge most of you whether or not some of you are "liars" and full of shit or just to get most of you narrow-minded people to actually accept that others may "disagree" or have a different "angle" on a particular issue.

Most of the people that hate me do so because one or a couple of their friends hate me for personal reasons and not because they genuinely have a dislike towards me.

But in the end, I really don't care if the entire board hates me. I'm really not here to conform and "fit in" just like most of you guys do. The LAST people I'd like to conform and fit in with are people who are intimidated and close-minded to "new ideas" or people who take an overall assessment/picture before making a choice. And unfortunately that's a whole helluva lot of you.

I'm still going to be here to push your buttons and hopefully you'll quit being close-minded and actually understand "both sides of the coin" before taking a side. And I will continue to push your buttons because alot of you people seriously need to think "outside the box" and not look at things with a "tunnel-vision".

Not too many "mature" people "cry for mommy and daddy"(or chabib) when they don't like something. There are many people here I'm not fond of(you being one because of your inability to keep your nose out of other people's fights...), but I would never wish you to be banned. I think communication would be more effective than begging people to be banned.

Sorry, you just came across as a 15 year old kid wishing "HALL MONITOR" would "ban me" for using large type. Doesn't it sound a bit ridiculous? I wonder if you thought about it before you started crying for "bannage".

Why did you stick your nose into other people's business? Don't you have your own business to tend to?

alyasa 05.30.2006 05:25 AM

Passive-aggressiveness is a personality disorder currently classified under Axis II of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders version IV-TR. This means it is an underlying pervasive or personality condition, which includes mental retardation. For those interested.

LOL!

I, along with every single board member, qualify for half of the traits. The other half(jealousy of the more fortunate, unreasonable criticism of authority, whining, etc.) couldn't be further from the truth. I am probably one of the very very VERY few who don't have a problem with AUTHORITY(unlike most here), I also don't have a problem with people who I may think have better lives, I also don't whine as much as most of you. If anything, I've been completely opposite.

Nice try, but I would say you probably qualify in more traits of a passive-aggressive person.

Bertrand 05.30.2006 07:42 AM

khchris(original)'s mirror days are back ! hallelujah !

Kenji, would you say Atari is psycho enough to attack a guy who, say... had stolen his girlfriend... attack this guy with a baseball bat and post it calmly on a Sonic Youth board just the way you did?

That was a joke on the "has anybody been arrested" thread.(hehehe) That's a funny one, thx for reminding me.

Bertrand 05.30.2006 08:23 AM

(I missed him. Oh, gosh).
I didn't know if that was a dream or not. Now I know, & feel relieved.
Could you then, as a sensible person, stop being an ass? Thank ya.

atari 2600 05.30.2006 09:03 AM

Andy Warhol wrote that Jean-Michel Basquait had "a baseball bat" in his pants in his diaries. Never pass up the opportunity to use a Letterman-inspired "in his pants" if given the chance; words to live by hehe...

I'm formally sorry, ozzuB-ginK (King-Buzzo), just so you know; that election was of great importance & urgency, & I don't think that I have really been the same since, & I still do maintain that John Kerry, although wooden, is a good man. We all know about his Purple Heart in Vietnam; he also exposed what became the Iran-Contra scandal as a fresman senator. (talk about your Profiles in Courage!) I actually (as you may know already) volunteered for Nader/LaDuke in '00. I still consider that I was a bit of an idealist, in retrospect.

no problem, i realized how important it was to NOT let Bush back in office so i ended up voting for kerry too, even though i supported nader, it just seemed like i couldn't take the chance. and i understand yr position on that too, hints why i voted for whom i did. also like i said, since then i have come to enjoy reading yr posts and think you are a kool dude (;

Has anyone heard the song "Burt Reynolds vs. Godzilla"? One of the few hardcore songs I can still stomach. And chiefly because it has one of the best titles ever.
