That's exactly how I feel about him. He's normally annoying as hell, but he has proven his variety and capabilities many times. He is extremely talented and can be incredibly engaging when he chooses to do roles that I might find engaging. I just don't like his usual style.

k-krack 08.05.2006 12:37 AM

sorry lux. you can't sway me. and never will .blech.

Alex's Trip 08.05.2006 12:38 AM

I don't like Jim's newer movies at all, but I really enjoyed Eternal Sunshine.

His first comedies were great, but after a while you just want to say "Okay Jim, we get it, you can run around and act like an idiot to get us laughing, cut it out."

Everyneurotic 08.05.2006 12:39 AM

I could probably recite this movie word-for-word. In fact, on road trips, my family has been known to play our own Dumb & Dumber trivia game, in which we try to stump each other with obscure questions pertaining to the movie.

"You left it at the airport, you big goof."

Take note, folks. THIS girl has taste.

I will never fail to laugh when Harry and Lloyd are entering that party, and Harry whacks Lloyd in the back of the knees with the cane. I have no idea why, but that is the funniest part of the entire film to me.

acousticrock87 08.05.2006 12:42 AM

I have to say, last time he was on Conan he cracked me up.

luxinterior 08.05.2006 12:43 AM

Jim Carrey is the reason that there are no photographs of me in existence in which I appear to be normal-looking.

He taught me to express myself not in words, but rather in obnoxious facial expressions.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but if you don't know the history of your culture, then most probably you aren't part of the subculture. It's simple as that.

I'm slightly confused there Assblaster. Is that 'cubist dildo funk' or 'cubist dada funk' that you mean? There is a stark and academic difference between the two.
