how about this Atari Games classic?

qprogeny79 08.11.2006 07:53 PM

atari's first one looks like pac-mania. the bottom one might, MIGHT be ms. pac-man, though i'm not certain.

how about this one?

atari 2600 08.11.2006 07:55 PM

damn, you're good. it is pac-mania.

The bottom one is Pac-Man, Jr.

Baby Pac-Man was part pinball machine. Of course, there's five or six other titles as well that I'll refrain from posting.

i don't know yours. I remember it (I think) from the original Nintendo system.

that looks like the game of a cartoon series that i can't remember the name of, it had chipmunks in it

atari 2600 08.11.2006 08:08 PM

I remember that bulldog-ish character.

It looks like one of the Chipmunks in there.

Пятхъдесят Шест 08.11.2006 08:09 PM

Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers?

Toilet & Bowels 08.11.2006 08:09 PM

one of my favourite games ever, that never got the recognition it deserved

atari 2600 08.11.2006 08:30 PM

Those floating diamond shapes ring a bell, but I have no idea.

another Atari Games coin-op for anyone that cares to guess...

I have no idea what its called. But I think I played in on the Lynx way back in the early 90s.

atari 2600 08.12.2006 12:51 AM

crystal castles! i love that one.

that other one isn't galaga, is it?

atari 2600 08.12.2006 12:57 AM

Bentley Bear has gotta be the cutest videogame character ever.

To watch a video of a master at Crystal Castles, please click

The other one is not Galaga.

Cantankerous 08.12.2006 12:57 AM

i have some atari games compilation with like 80 games on it somewhere. i should go dig that out.

Cantankerous 08.12.2006 01:03 AM

heeeee. i found it at the bottom of a pile of CD-Rs. i'm even giddier than when T&B promised to put me over his knee.

atari 2600 08.12.2006 01:04 AM

I have the M.A.M.E. (multi arcade machine emulator) & ridiculous amounts of arcade roms, so I play them on that every once in a while.

The emulators I have are Mac versions, so if anyone uses Mac (I use both) then I have some cool stuff to share.

Cantankerous 08.12.2006 01:16 AM

i am an atari loser. i can't get past that goddamn bird with the hat on.

that little fucker in the corner on the right.

Cantankerous 08.12.2006 11:55 AM

i'm on a roll.

atari 2600 08.12.2006 02:14 PM

Catankerous, because you had over 33 thou & hadn't lost a bear yet...what did you end up with on that game?

I played again just now & did slightly better than my last try. This is a tough game. A score of 30,000 or more is considered not bad because the game designer (FXL -- his intials are all over the boards too) on the default high score screen is listed at 30,000.

Most arcade machines have what are called dip switches you can set to change the difficulty, number of coins per play, score required for extras, etc. but Crystal Castles doesn't have those options.

I wonder if the one you're playing has stuff like the hints screen or a high score screen...I suppose it probably does.

atari 2600 08.12.2006 02:19 PM

Narc was mentioned earlier. Isn't there a Narc machine in the background in one of the scenes in Repo Man? haha..

Here's a machine a lot like it...can anyone guess what it is?

finding nobody 08.12.2006 02:22 PM

That's the contra arcade game right? i've never played that one but i used to play contra for NES

it looks very similar to gryzor aka contra for the msx. but yours seems like an arcade version or something.

pokkeherrie 08.12.2006 02:26 PM
