Kids See Ghosts is alright, and I do like Yikes

but this album man - *phew* - , and I'm not even a Curry stan

Just constantly switching flows, and each hook catches so hard. He's onto something here

Dr. Eugene Felikson 09.11.2018 02:00 PM

and on top of that, Ta13oo has the whole 3-act concept album thing underlying everything.

I never expected this from some rando from Raider Klan

I like Big Sean's latest a lot, been banging it hard.

I dig Bun B's, cool H-town update to the trill

I think Astroworld is 90% gold. The 10 % of soft ass wanna-be outkasty shit? I skip that shit.

You talking about Young Thug now? Sorry got confused.

It’s catchy and fun as hell. Shut it.

... you like Big Sean, but hate anything and everything Kanye. Not sure if you know enough about either artist to understand how ridiculous that is.

I agree actually. More like 70/30 for me though. Like a lot of it, but (dead horse again) he really is trying to sound like Kanye on a lot of those tracks. Down to his very delivery and use of features, transitions, production, etc. He needs to stop demanding comparisons that will work out unfavorably for him.

But it’s a good album.

It's unreal

Like, Bun B - Return of the Trill is good and all but c'mon maaaaaaaaan

Oh, “DAYTONA” is also hella better

Dr. Eugene Felikson 09.12.2018 12:05 PM

I Decided is more enjoyable than most of Kanye's catalog

Rob Instigator 09.12.2018 12:56 PM

Thank you!

(Both for agreeing with me and for sneaking a Kanye reference into your agreement with me, making it a double-whammy of agreeablility).

I don’t dislike Big Sean, but the poor guy has just never really done anything great. He’s a joke artist, in my opinion. Only raps about his big dick, unless he’s rapping about how slept on he is.

His voice and flow are appealing, but he is not an interesting artist. His best work has been with Kanye and Kanye-related projects... but notice Kanye has never let his ass ok an actual studio album.

“See Me Now” is a great example. What was once a truly amazing song — a perfect Ye/Beyoncé collab — had a bigass Big Sean verse dropped in the middle of it when it was tacked on to the deluxe edition of MBDTF, and that made it hard to listen to from start to finish. (It was fine! Why’d they done did that?)

All of his albums are worth a listen, and plenty of his songs are fun and entertaining (especially “Control” baaaahahahahahaha!!!) but if you think his most recent middle of the road dick rap album is better than The College Dropout, Late Registration, Graduation, 808s & Heartbreak, MBDTF, Watch The Throne, Yeezus, TLOP, Ye, Kids See Ghosts and all the various odds and ends that make up Kanye’s discography, you are simply a ridiculous person who is lying about their feelings. :D

Big Sean - Pull Up N Wreck https://youtu.be/G5V0rsKkMDo

Big Sean - Moves https://youtu.be/7cIkC7s3d2o

These tracks bang hard in the whip.

I never said he was better than Kanya. I said I enjoy his tracks and I do not enjoy Kanye's. Never have.

BTW, you talking shit about Big Sean rapping about his dick, but you LIKE that stupid Lil xans Kanye track about how a woman is "such a big fucking ho?" get out of here man....

BTW, have you seen/heard MInaj - Babrbie Dreams? I suggest it be watched with subtitles on so that all the great cold-rips on male rappers can be fully enjoyed. https://youtu.be/_bvLphVWHpo

Noname's new album is incredible. Best female rapper out right now.

Wait, what?

I’ve literally never even heard Lil Xan. No idea why you’re saying this to me.

I don’t hate big sean, just a boring ass dude in general. One of many Kanye-lite figures out there. I just don’t see the point. I’ll bump him on a Kanye guest verse though. Sure.

I'm guessing Rob meant the Lil Pump one. I dunno. I'm done with all these Lils. Lil Kim was the only one worth a shit. Rap went to fuck when the jeans got skinny.

Lil Wayne was bomb as fuck for a while. Bomb. As. Fuck.

But yeah. Too many “Lils” and too many “Bigs.”

I don’t even like Lil Pump. I just happen to think this song he mumbled on for a few bars is a fun ass song. I play the single on Apple Music and it just automatically replays it and I’m always like, “Oh, better change the tr... eh, nah I couldnhear this one more time.”

I think Rob is just too anti-Kanye and anti-Kendrick to understand how obscenely indebted Big Sean is to... well, honestly both.

Like, to use a grunge comparison, it would be like saying in 1093, “Dude, I hate Pearl Jam and Soundgarden but holy shit Candlebox and Stone Temple Pilots rock!”

Y’know.

I maintain that Rob has still never listened to any Kanye or Kendrick albums from start to finish. Can’t convince me otherwise.

Hey you’re not wrong about this. This shit is hella good! I am loving it!

I’m also into Kamaiyah.

Funny how many motherfuckers are tweeting about Nicki and Cardi when there’s shit like this out there. “Queen of rap” my ass. Nicki is gross. Just a total disappointment. I actually think I prefer Cardi B. at this juncture.

But fuck that, Noname is on some shit!
