Yeah, it was booed and walked out of, but not the version you saw. That version has never been released. He had made another cut of the film that was something like an hour longer, featuring much more driving footage and whatnot. I think the slimmed-down version is actually a pretty great film. Underrated, definitely.

I really enjoyed The Brown Bunny, as well. I've never seen Buffalo '66 but have heard an awful lot of praise for the film.

Am I missing out?

If you liked The Brown Bunny, pretty sure you'll like Buffalo,

quite like the look of this one too!

davenotdead 04.08.2009 10:43 AM

Just finished with Synecdoche, New York.

Easily my favorite Charlie Kaufman movie now. Way better than Adaptation and Eternal Sunshine, and even Being John Malkovich.

It's not that I feel I should defend this film, but it's more I dont think ppl realize exactlly how a bold a statement it is to call something a 0/10. I've seen a LOT of films. Many that were worse than Smith. And few that I could seriously give a 0/10 (ie: devoid of even a shred of redeaming qualities). [besides, the lowest I could give anything would be a 1/10, because I use a 1-10 scale. As great as Spinal Tap is, if I gave it a 0/10 that would be on a 11-point scale system, and c'mon!]

Ha. I suppose a 0/10 is a little harsh, but I saw that movie once, and absolutely hated it! That was a few years ago, I'll watch it again and tell you what I think.

I have trouble every day in my netflix queue but haven't seen it yet. It looks sexy.

technically '91 TYPB, but since everyone here has probably seen that I might as well go with:

Man on Wire.

It's about the guy who walked on a tightrope across the empire state buildings. pretty damn good movie, see it if you get the chance

I've just re-watched 1967's The Incident in honour of the fact that I have finally found a DVD copy of it on the internet, so I won't have to rely on my crappy VHS anymore. It's easily in my top 3 favourite movies of all the time, the way the tension builds up is amazing.

Youtube has it too:

atsonicpark 04.10.2009 07:49 AM

Yeah I'm not going to pretend that it doesn't kinda blow a nasty dick.

breligion 04.10.2009 11:33 AM

I had high expectations. I kind of liked it. Maybe I'll like it more if I watch it again. 6.5/10
