Yeah, curry percentage is better than Ray Allen but Jesus Shuttlesworth had more versatility and a more balanced game when he was in peak form. I ain't disrespecting Curry's talent but he is a one trick pony and it quite literally gets as boring to watch as James Harden free throws..

But yeah, i get it, people really like the guy. Also NEVER compare Curry Cupcake to the bruising hard ass that was Reggie Miller.. Reggie would have made 3s AND knocked out Curry's front tooth on defense..

James Harden scored 43 points in Sacramento on Friday night.
On Saturday, Harden scored 46 points at the LA Clippers
89 points isn't too bad of a weekend in California!

Also in LA, Dwight Howard had 20 points / 20 rebounds in less than 30 minutes......that's the 4th 20-20 in less 30 minutes in NBA in last 10 years.
Howard has 3 of them......Kenneth Faried has the other.

I bragged on the Raptors last week for winning on B2B nights at Dallas / OKC and they turn around and lose B2B at Orlando / Miami......

Bytor Peltor 11.10.2015 09:46 AM

Last night, the Atlanta Hawks trailed at home to Minnesota by 30 points at halftime, and 34 points early on in the 3rd Quarter before coming all the way back to take a lead in the 4th......to only end up losing by 10 points. Minnesota has won all four road games this early season......Skip would be proud!

Stephen Curry had a bad night shooting and scored his season low 22 points and the Warriors won easily over the Detroit Pistons......Golden States 23rd home win in a row at Oracle.

Meh about Stephanie Curry.. I'm more interested in Andre Drummond under SVG becoming Dwight Howard and scoring 135 points with 135 rebounds in his first 7 games..

Drummond has been playing "out of this world" type ball this early season:

57 offensive rebounds......on pace to beat Moses Malone's record (78-79)
97 defensive rebounds.....on pace to beat Dennis Rodmans record (91-92)
29 total boards against Indiana earlier this season (third most this Century)
three 20+ rebound games this season (Dwight Howard only other NBA player with 1 game)

Something is wrong with the Rockets, who currently find themselves 4-4. The Rockets have given up 105 or more points in each of their eight games. Losing the first three games of the season by 20 points each and playing like total crap against the then win less Nets......it's easy to see the Rockets aren't playing ANY defense!

37 year old Dirk Nowitzki was brilliant against the Clippers Wednesday with 31 points and 11 rebounds, 11 of 14 from the floor. Speaking of LA Clippers, they've lost four of their last five games.

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 11.13.2015 10:33 AM

Yes old Dirk showed why old Kobe thought he could play.. but big fellas age better

Haha that poor kid doesn't even realize that the Knicks will destroy him. It's what they do, it's all they do

Rockets fired Coach McHale. wow. this is crazy. the players had a "players-only" meeting a day or so ago. They play tonight. He coached them to the fucking western conference championship series and they fire him??????? Something is not being said.

Quotes from GM Daryl Morey press confrence:

"The team wasn't responding. We had to make a tough call. There's no time to waste."

"McHale is great person/coach. McHale obviously also saw the issues. Confirmed JB Bickerstaff is interim HC"

"They (players) weren't responding to Kevin. I think JB (Bickerstaff) is someone they'll respond to,"

"If we don't shore up our defense, we going to continue doing stuff until we do. If we don't turn up our defense, we're nowhere,"

Kevin McHale didn't get fired because of the 4-7 record......it was due to the team getting blown out. Monday hosting the Boston Celtics, the Rockets went from up 15 to trailing by 29 in a matter of minutes......EVERY TEAM this season has scored at least 105 points against the Rockets.

Problems that faced McHale / facing JB Bickerstaff

01. due to the Rockets having so many back-to-backs this early season, Dwight Howard has only played in 5 games. How do you "manage" the difference day in and day out?

02. Ty Lawson hasn't been the point guard he was in Denver. Reason one being Harden probably handles the ball too much. How do you increase Lawson and still give Harden situations he enjoys??

03. Last year, James Harden was fresh off a summer of playing with the Olympic Team and you could tell a major difference in Harden's defense. How do you "make" Harden start playing D again???

I've heard nothing but good things about Bickerstaff, but he has ZERO head coaching experience and is now the youngest coach in the NBA. Neither is all that bad as I believe he will someday be a very good head coach, but the Rockets are wanting to WIN now!

Rob Instigator 11.18.2015 04:16 PM

I am never ever for firing a head coach/manager in the middle of a season. It shows a knee-jerk reaction attitude by the ownership, and it shows who really is running things. The only reason McHale would be removed is because the players themselves met and went and told ownership that they did not like the coach anymore. That is like students demanding a teacher be removed because they do not like him anymore. fucking stupid. the rockets season is done. this interim coach will do nothing but "let thjem play" which is basically what McHale has done.

I predict the Rockets end up out of playoffs, and that Howard will run off to another team to try and "win a championship" perhaps to Cleveland.

Clearly the team feels that its the other way around, that the team made it to the WCF despite McHale not because of him. Normally i totally agree with you, firing a coach is more or less useless EXCEPT for in those instances where keeping the coach and the coach's system will actually make it worse. Forexample its clear Lakers should have fired Byron Scott last season, by keeping him around they are risking not developing the new players. I also think Lakers should hire Scott Brooks

Rob Instigator 11.18.2015 05:57 PM

McHale was a "players coach" who did not force the "stars" to work hard. How does the ownership think that will change? They must know someone who they want to target as the new coach.

Bytor Peltor 11.18.2015 06:16 PM

ESPN is such a joke......they reported earlier that Jeff Van Gundy wasn't "interested" in returning to coaching, yet he lobbied pretty hard to the New Orleans Pelicans job this summer. I believe JVG and Scott Brooks are prime candidates (IF) interested in taking over a team that's in turmoil so early in the season.

Bytor Peltor 11.18.2015 11:08 PM

Rockets win in OT 108-103......finally keeping an opponent under 105 points. With two minutes left in the game, the Rockets trailed 92-83......killer 17-6 run to force OT. James Harden scored 10 points in the first half and ended up with 45 on the night (only Rocket to score in OT)......his 18th 40+ NBA game.

Les Alexander on Harden: "He knows that he has to pick up his defense. He’s been told just that. And he will pick up his defense."

JB Bickerstaff made a change, feeding the ball down into James Harden who was posting up......and allowing Harden to kick the ball out for the three. Not looking for the three pointer first was a nice change.

Rockets at Memphis on Friday.

Danny Ainge Has Offered Job To Kevin McHale

13 In A Row

The LA Clippers jumped out to a 23 point lead in the first half, were up 54-68 at halftime and end up losing the game by 7 seven points in regulation.

For the most part, Steph Curry played poorly, and he dropped 40 on the Clipps.

Curry was typically stupid in 2nd Half
7-13 FG, 3-8 on 3's, 6-6 FT, 23 points

Rest of the GSW were equally insane:
14-21 FG, 8-9 on 3's, 11-12 FT, 47 points

Since start of last season, Warriors are 3-3 in games in which they trail by 20 at any point......rest of the NBA is a combined 13-486

No doubt Golden State is eyeing to overtake the Rockets 15-0 start to a season following a championship......GSW Next 3 games:

Friday vs Chicago
Sunday at Denver
Tuesday vs Lakers.

Bytor Peltor 11.20.2015 11:17 AM

Stephen Curry is averaging 34.5 points per games this season. If you removed his three pointers made from the equation, Curry would then be averaging 18.5 points per game......which is still higher than:

18.1 Chris Paul
17.8 Kevin Love
17.8 Deayne Wade

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 11.20.2015 04:15 PM

One trick pony.. clippers played good D on him first half, should have kept that pressure on him during second half. I stand by my predictions, some of that 2012 era Miami swarming trap defense would slow Curry down, indeed its what Cavs did in Game 2 and 3 of Finals but clearly it takes to much energy and coordinating switches and help defense to pull off long twrm.. i respect the guy and his shooting is unprecedented i just don't like it. Frankly its boring to watch and predictable as hell..

Bytor Peltor 11.20.2015 10:26 PM

3:43 left in the 4th Quarter is when the Houston Rockets made their first Field Goal......nothing but Free Throws prior to that, for a grand total of 14 4Q points.
