With Lorca nowhere to be found ... again
|
mang, anyway, did any of you witness alves's goal? his amazing free kick? the curved that landed juuuuuust barely past the inside of the goalpost? and he was put there by dunga minutes before the end of the game expressly for that purpose?
that was fucking mythical. for other countries (like mine) it would be a historical day; but for brasil, it's business as usual. what a fucking goal, amazing. watch his face as he thinks about his shot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yukq5uSGb34 |
Yeah, that was something special.
Matt LeTissier is almost unheard of outside of England but was easily one of the most spectacular goalscorers the game has ever seen. The second one in this compilation sends shivers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSsdfe4Z69g |
Alves' face expression before he took the free kick was fucking evil.
I mean, a couple more tattoos on hands and neck and he'd fit perfectly in this band: ![]() |

he could never score away from southampton. he was still amazing though. |

Le Tissier's career was so weird. He refused to leave Southampton and Hoddle apparently hated him so almost never picked him for England. The laziest player I've ever seen but a genuine goal-scoring genius that, had he played for another club and had a bit of ambition, could've been a real legend. |

wow, such a ball control. |
It's not the best finish ever, but it's the best team goal I think I've ever seen.

yeah . you're right . each spain player it's better then entire us team. 30 games without loose is a great record. how can they loose with a team with 10 or 15 years of football (soccer??) tradition...fuck. they deserv a hard spanking. |

Right you are sir. As you were.... |
Here's a free kick I thought you all would enjoy, vintage Roberto Carlos

awesome really, but a lot of south americans have more dribble than that. in a way i'm more impressed by goals 4+5, such fucking long-distance precision. then again "you guys" are more used to that. Quote:
my ballsac is on fire. holy fuck. the spin on that ball is amazing. barthez was like, "fuckit, it's out" and then "whaaaaa....???" awesome |

Prepare for ballsac meltdown: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MpbE3oUPadk |

that branco one didn't seem unstoppable, but romario and stan valckx blocked ed de goey's view. the ball went straight in between them.
it's a good goal, but that roberto carlos spinning free kick is from another planet. |

As an American I felt a slight allegiance for the USA, but I've held Brazil as the standard for football since I was a child,so, I rooted for Brazil, and I'm pretty sure I will always root for them anytime they play in a match.
P.S That roberto carlos left wing goal is tremendous shit, tremendous. I'll never forget seeing this (sorry if this offends any Englismen) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ExUX7MBk5UM |

Certainly not offended by it. The jury is still out as to whether he really intended it or not. I used to think it was a miss-struck cross but increasingly tend to think it was legit. No debate about this though. Pure next level class - and the best commentary you'll ever here. |

I too questioned the Ronaldinho free kick for a time..... That Zidane goal was brilliant, the whole play was really starting with the blind cross by Roberto Carlos....vintage Real Madrid. |
