Stalker is great. I've watched it 3 times. It is good in ways I can't really describe, it is good in ways I don't think words have been invented for yet. Kinda reminds me of a (great) Herzog film in the way that you can watch it all and really love it but not really know what to say about it afterwards. Has a beauty and poignancy that is hard to understand... elements at work that are difficult to talk about in conventional words and with conventional logic. If someone were to ask me why I liked it, I probably couldn't tell them. So, it's magical in a way.. completely took me to realms I've never seen in another film before.

I am going to re-watch this with my girlfriend tomorrow:


Even though it's nearly 4 hours long, I don't think we'll have any trouble watching it, since it's the best film I've ever seen in my life. I hope she agrees.

Love that trilogy! Difficult to choose, but Blanc is my favorite one of the three.

Ah, I was in the middle of scalps when I made the post above it. They were both pretty short though (scalps was barely over an hour).

I have about 40 movies on my desk I haven't watched yet, not even kidding...

that is nuts. and I bet you'll watch them within two weeks :P

slacker is an amazing movie. love it.

I enjoyed slacker a lot. it is a slice of life, but my favorite part is the guy wityh the bullhorn atop his car talking about the arabs and the israilies getting it on.

it reminds me a lot of austin (obviously, having been filmed there) but not in a good way.
I really hated living in austin.

I think I've watched this movie.
Isn't Ed Hall performing in it?
Too bad there's no Cherubs or Crust!

For a minute there, I thought you were going to trash it like you did with that movie about Xenia. :-)
