I can't believe I'd never seen slacker before today.

That is definitely one of the best films I've ever seen. Nearly everything I love about movies. Especially independant films.. All the dialogue was amazing. I mean, geez, that 5 minute scene in the bookstore talking about JFK books? With non-professional actors not flubbing a single line or stuttering once... just amazing.

DELETED cuz I was thinking of the wrong movie.

30 Days of Night. Pretty cool vampire flick. I'm pretty easy on vampire flicks, even average ones are enjoyable for me. Same with zombie movies.

nice nice. funny. decently shot, decent photography, decent cast, more than you can expect for this kind of flicks most of the times ehehe.
not as funny as slither, but some good laughs in this one too he he.

looks..."nice"

I hate Feast and Feast 3 but Feast II is one of the best films ever. Monsters who cum and piss, a baby flying through the air in slow motion for one minute and then landing on his head and brains splattering everywhere, porn stars, midget wrestlers, and more. One of the most in-bad-taste films ever made!

tweek city - 7/10

noisereductions 06.03.2009 07:08 AM

FEAST is horrible crap.

nicfit 06.03.2009 08:33 AM

I love b-movies. Troll 2, Slugs, Bikini Summer 2, (the list is f'ing endless, trust me). But Feast does not qualify in the same way. Instead it's a flashy turd that attempts to shock the viewer into thinking they saw something cool.

(Nic, I'm not attacking yr taste, becasue yr my homey. I just hate this movie for some reason!)

man, woman, and the wall - 6/10

lucker the necrophagous - 5/10 (easily the most ridiculous/weird slasher film i've seen in a while)

Haaa, don't worry, I never take comments on my tastes as personal attacks/fights, to each his own.
Besides, I see what you mean (it's quite clear that they wanted to use some "tricks" to make it look liek a kinda cool/kinda flashy mix of horror cliches).
I think my judgment is affected by the fact that over here there's not much going on in terms of b-movies/fun horror stuff.. So I end up *cough*downlad*cough*ing some almost random things with not much expectations, so due to low expectations I'm hardly disappointed and insomnia makes me easily amused he he.

This movie disturbs me to no end.

"It's name is Quetzalcoatl... just call it Q, that's all you'll have time to say before it tears you apart!"

Q: The Winged Serpent ?

Dr. Eugene Felikson 06.03.2009 11:05 AM

Here's the thing: I really wanted to like Feast, but I just didn't. It even had J Mewes, and Henry Rollins in it! That alone, should've been worth the price of admission, especially with them going up against a mob of monsters. Didn't bother checking out any of the sequels.

PS: Slacker RULES!

so frank sinatra played a sailor in that AND in On The Town, both with gene kelly?

or is that the same movie with a different name?

afterthefact 06.03.2009 11:22 AM

Different movies. On The Town was set in New York (I haven't seen it, but I assume it is, based on the song "New York, New York") and Anchors Aweigh was set in Hollywood.

It is funny that they did two movies that had so many similiarities.
