How were Ashtray Navigations Melly and Sarramkrop? Sorry I had to bugger off before they came on, but I had arranged to meet someone that evening, didn't expect they'd come on so late!

MellySingsDoom 02.06.2009 02:30 AM

Senor TINH - no probs about having to leave early - thee Ashtrays were great all round, more good, wholesome psych-improv-drone with some tasty guitar racket and riffery from Mr Ashtray. The overall sound the Ashtrays created was pretty damn impressive, I must say.

Sarram and I also saw the A-Band last night, who were simply awesome. It's good to see these daddies of the whole psych-improv etc "scene" still doing their stuff, and they are a genuinely funny and entertaining experience, and a case of the type of outfit that works because those involved are actually listening to and firing off each other.
