oh yr gonna love the shit out of Intruder. |
hahaha spiderman 3 is one of the worst films ever made, but one i have a weird fondness for. the introduction of venom is horrid. this is a great review: http://www.reocities.com/tyrannorabbit/spiderman3.html
pretty much sums up my feelings. .............YET, at the same time, I thought it was about a thousand times more entertaining than the first two, despite being obviously horrible. |

It really is very good. It's an MTV thing so I'm sure it does the rounds on TV quite regularly. A lot of it is just trite 'let's look at the 'real' Britney' stuff, that amounts to little more than you'd find in an average Hello interview. The whole thing is clearly very controlled but I think one of the qualities that endears Britney Spears compared with most of her contemporaries is that she does appear quite open by nature so, while the film 'officially' tries to show her comeback as a kind of exorcism of her past troubles, you never believe for a moment that they're really behind her. Honestly, one of the saddest films I've seen in a long time. I'll stop there, before this post degenerates into something akin to ... |

![]() Insane Clown Posse: Shockumentary (7/10) Watched this after getting and really enjoying The Great Milenko. A far more interesting band than I'd imagined. The film concentrates a lot on the fans too, which is a masterstroke considering fans are invariably more entertaining than the bands they follow (as with Heavy Metal Parking Lot and Depeche Mode's 101). |

Until hearing them I could totally see why but now that I have, I'm semi-surprised you've not got at least a small soft spot for them. But I'm sure you've already gone through all that a thousand times al;ready with Felix, so fair enough. |

![]() The Hillside Strangler (6/10) I've seen this a few times now and remain completely undecided about it. I've given it a six because there must be something about it to make me keep going back for another try. It's a real downer of a film, I just can't work out whether that's in a good way or a bad way. |

no no I was saying I DO Like them. I have for years. I got into them around 2004 anyway. Favorite albums are the two Bizarre albums and Ringmaster. |
![]() Finally got to watching this, never read the book though. I didn't hate the movie. |
finally saw Inception. I enjoyed it, but not sure it lived up to the hype that had been built up in my mind waiting this long to watch it.

Off-topic question: Where to start with Mamet's writing? It seems like he's written so much stuff across so many different genres. I'm confused. So, what's best? On-topic: I'm watching all of Terrence Malick's films in order. Loved Badlands and Days of Heaven. Haven't gotten around to Thin Red Line yet because it's fucking long and I've been busy playing Portal 2. Can't wait to see Tree of Life. |
I've been working through all the available Harry Potter movies

A Coratian war film entitled "The Living and the Dead", which compares and contrasts the battle for the same piece of land in two seperate wars (1943 & 1993). It is excellent.

Young Frankenstein
7/10 Many people have said Mel Brooks is one of the greatest comedy directors of the 20th century, but I think in truth he's somewhat hit or miss. I mean, when he's good (The History of the World, Part I), he's really good, but when he's bad (The Twelve Chairs), it's nearly unwatchable. I'd put this one somewhere in the middle. The cop with the wooden arm was funny, the "blindman" sequence was good, and I give Peter Boyle a ton of credit for being able to say so much through just facial expressions, but I wouldn't put a huge priority on seeing this one again. |
