Not because I decided not to, just because I basically don't watch tv and stuff. I do other stuff, you know, indie stuff, the kind of things that make you look cooler than watching tv, even if you're an ugly man like me. Like walking towards Australia or something.
well, today I watched a good 30 mins of the Spongebob movie, I liked it! I mean, more than the humor or the story I really liked the drawings/expressions of the characters. Are the episodes as cool as the movie in terms of effort spent in making their faces change a lot of times in a matter of seconds?
what a nice post this one is.

The movie was great. The show can be just as good (on a different scale, of course) but some episodes are piss-poor.

The early sponge-bob is super funny.

Dr. Eugene Felikson 04.30.2009 05:34 PM

This is MUCH better than Spongebob.

Sonic Youth 37 04.30.2009 05:35 PM

Sponge-Bob is a G-rated ripoff of Rocko's Modern Life. Fo realz.

Dr. Eugene Felikson 04.30.2009 05:38 PM

A lot of the grotesque facial expressions of S-bob really seem to be influenced by early Ren & Stimpy.

terriblecanyons 04.30.2009 08:30 PM

I've noticed that too. It's the sole reason I even watch it.

gmku 04.30.2009 08:33 PM

My wife called from Portland in a kind of panic over the swine flu. She told me I need to buy my groceries and other supplies before the weekend because people will be panicking. Is this true? I don't notice that level of hysteria here where I am at all.

NaiveMelody 04.30.2009 08:34 PM

uh....groceries? Why? I don't understand..

gmku 04.30.2009 08:36 PM

She was thinking people are going to make a run on the stores, like they do when a storm is imminent, you know, to stock up. I don't get it myself. The weird thing is, she usually doesn't panic. Usually I do.

NaiveMelody 04.30.2009 08:38 PM

Hmm....well I know they say if someone has it in your business you should shut down. And they shut down stores and stuff in Mexico, but I don't think we're there yet.

gmku 04.30.2009 08:40 PM

I'm more afraid of the hysteria, hype, and panic myselfn than of the actual threat of the disease. People get irrational over this shit.

Smear Shrimp In Your Ears

Sonic Youth 37 05.01.2009 11:21 PM

There was a lame-ass flash "rave" in the library about an hour ago. Several hundred people jumping and doing football (American) chants, then the same 30 second techno clip played 3 times in a row. The whole thing lasted about 10 minutes but the library continued to smell of feet and conformity.

terriblecanyons 05.01.2009 11:36 PM

Fucking sick.

some episodes are really awesome. some less so. I like it because it is a good mix of slapstick and less obvious gags/random references. good to watch when yr brain-numb.

gmku 05.02.2009 07:10 AM

I had a dream last night that I was gay.

Derek 05.02.2009 07:10 AM

That's my dream every night.

gmku 05.02.2009 07:11 AM

I had to dump my lover because I didn't want to have sex and that made him a little upset.

phoenix 05.02.2009 07:16 AM

I've been ill for the last four weeks, generally run down, and I look like hell because of it.. And when I was getting a check up at the dentist yesterday she told me I needed to go get some antibiotics because my throat looked really red and swollen. It sucks.

gmku 05.02.2009 07:17 AM

Definitely if you're sick longer than a week you should a doctor!

He was also getting on my nerves because he wanted to redecorate everything.

It was a very weird dream. Lesson: Cut back on the Golden Monkey before bedtime. Really good beer, though, probably my new favorite. Highly recommend you all check it out.

The Maximum Takeoff Weight or Maximum Takeoff Mass of an aircraft is the maximum weight at which the pilot of the aircraft is allowed to attempt to take off. The Maximum Takeoff Weight is the heaviest weight at which the aircraft has been shown to meet all the airworthiness requirements applicable to it. The airworthiness requirements include many items related to strength of the structure, and performance. At its Maximum Takeoff Weight an aircraft complies with all the structural and performance requirements applicable to aircraft in its class.
The Maximum Takeoff Weight of an aircraft is fixed. It does not vary with altitude or air temperature or the length of the runway to be used for takeoff or landing. (A different weight, called the maximum permissible takeoff weight, or the regulated takeoff weight, varies according to flap setting, altitude, air temperature, length of runway and other factors. It is different from one takeoff to the next, but can never be higher than the Maximum Takeoff Weight.)
Maximum Takeoff Weight is usually specified in units of kilograms or pounds.

Dr. Eugene Felikson 05.04.2009 12:20 AM

In 1st grade, my class went on a trip to the petting zoo. Everyone laughed at me when a cow bit off a rather large chunk of my shirt.

terriblecanyons 05.04.2009 12:20 AM

The heavy petting zoo?

Dr. Eugene Felikson 05.04.2009 12:26 AM

No way, NOFX annoys me.

Nice album cover though.

static-harmony 05.04.2009 12:27 AM
