I'm with you too. If I had to count all the times that I had to let it go past me when I hear certain comments when I'm out, It would be enough to fill tons of threads. It seems like a hard concept for a male to get our heads around, but sometimes someone might just be happy to make a comment like 'He's a nice looking guy' without automatically thinking about sex. I find that some guys think of you as being weird if you don't feel like shagging anything that moves.

Toilet & Bowels 09.26.2007 07:47 AM

well it's no secret that men and women have differing sex drives.

sarramkrop 09.26.2007 08:00 AM

Men are obviously more libidinous than women. It's just that I find it a little tedious when someone's chat is a continuous innuendo, and some gay males tend to do that a lot. It can be funny, if absorbed in the appropriate doses. I'm not trying to make myself come across as naive either because I can have a pretty filthy mind if need be.

Tokolosh 09.26.2007 08:18 AM

Did you know that the word Nympho is used almost exclusively in reference to women?
The reason for this is because many men find the idea of a woman having a greater sex drive than their own somewhat threatening,
so they use the label to preserve their own egos.

That's true. I lke it when on the other hand you have girls who totally objectify a male for their own pleasure. It's a case of giving back a taste of our own medicine.

the term nympho is used for women because it refers directly to them, there is also a word which means the same that is used only for men but its less well known.

hi, my name is Jason and I'm searching for a winged ram.

I was told that Nephele might know where it's gone to.

sadly, my Minyans won't be of any help because they have dashed themselves against the rocks (unable to share the sea with a woman they couldn't screw).

so, yeah, if anyone sees a golden goat....please let me know.

jon boy 09.26.2007 09:51 AM

I really don't have much room to extend my point, but again, a lot of people I've discussed about this say that it's simply the fact that the other person IS the opposite sex, disregarding all qualities about them. Although with the Cartesian Dualist doctrine, this all becomes subjective, thus ineffable.

"Every time I meet an attractive woman, I have to pretend I have no interest in making love to her."

"Why?"

"She might find the idea objectionable."

"Then again, she might not."

Quick, what's this from?

Tokolosh 09.26.2007 12:07 PM

One of Hitchcock's best films.

I think it's partly because I tend to treat all people the same way when I first meet them, out of habit. And their gender isn't of too much importance to me at all. Also it may have something to do with growing up around three brothers, that has really demystified males for me, and has not made me think of all males immediately as potential partners.

Except for Mister Wm. "Green Goblin" Dafoe.
