My grandparents and aunt are all in Santa Fe now, where I went for my grandfather's 89th birthday. It's weird to hear about your cheese experience, because I had New Mexican food in three different traditional restaurants and I didn't encounter that once. New Mexican isn't my favorite version of Mexican food, because I really like tomatoes and tomatillos in my sauces, and theirs are pretty much straight up chili peppers. It tastes good, but I probably like southern Mexico for cuisine more. But I'd never tell my aunt that!

oh santa fe. i rarely go there. it's sort of a retirement place or something. i prefer albuquerque. i still have to check out taos. but anyway. i need coffee, AND MEXICAN FOOD IS BETTER IN MEXICO. oh yes.

I'm into it.
But, let's not forget:
Mustard is the elixir of life.

I eat it, it's good.
Mind you I wouldn't eat it right out of the bottle or anything.

HECKLER SPRAY 11.21.2007 03:31 PM

I must admit I like that shit.

All this mayo talk is grossing me out at a "2 Girls 1 Cup" level.

Tokolosh 11.21.2007 05:40 PM

That mayo drink looks vile atari. I almost gagged.

FruitLoop 11.21.2007 05:43 PM

I've always hated the stuff, I'm not fussy about food but mayo is the only food item I can't stand, which is weird considering the ingredients. Eggs, water, oil, vinegar, salt and pepper and some spices, these are all fine on their own but put em together and there goes the gag reflex.

The worse was in Norway (I suppose the rest of Scandinavia has it too) where mayonnaise comes in mock-toothpaste tubes, squirting out in gobs, ugh.... along with the fake "caviar" and remoulade in similar packaging

val-holla-ing 11.21.2007 07:32 PM

ugh.
