greedrex.. try out pop tatari and oneine meets sex pistols for a diiferent bore feel. also rovo are worth checking out..

i love the boredoms but they are not the greatest thing on the planet and i can only ingest them in quantites separated by long time periods..

super ae is a masterpiece!

careful people i didn't say i DISLIKED them
i only said i expected to like them as there are so many related bands that i like / love.
and huh every Boredoms listening experience turns out to be disappointing... but i'm not giving up!

I'll be listening to more muzak by them soon.
and i'm not forcing myself either, i'm just trying to do my best so i don't remain ignorant. that is all.

I have every single album by both groups, I think if anyone is qualified to call both bands "genius" it's me. Both bands rank amongst the best music I've heard in my entire life.

when i get into Boredoms phases I generally listen to thier discograpghy. They have an addictive quality to them, every album is so different yet so Boredoms, like know one else could have created this except for Boredoms. The only Boredoms-related project I have yet to here is "UFO or Die" which I've heard is just like Hanatarash but a little lamer.

i've never really been too crazy about the boredoms, they have some really good tracks, but the rest of the time it's just eye acting the goat.
almost all of the side projects i've heard i like way more.

I just thought I'd weigh in with some more superlatives and say boredoms fucking own and 77drum was the best live musical thing i've ever been to and...has any other band covered as much musical ground as beautifully as they have? ever?

Boredoms are one of my girlfriend's favorite bands. She regards Chocolate Synthesizer and everything they've done afterwards to be masterpieces. She does like OOIOO better though..

Wow, it seems to me that everyone on here used to be way into Boredoms, but now collectivley one by one you're all basically admitting they're too wild for y'all. Well, whatevs, you can have your Dinosaur Jr's and Mudhoney's and Jesus and Mary Chain's, I'll take Boredoms, Omoide Hatoba, and Zeni Geva any day.
