I post here because you can talk about anything with people who all like sonic youth and other music one could expect from a knowledgeable SY fan. This is also the same reason I lurked for a while before joining, and can't be arsed to sit here all day.

In middle school/early high school I was a regular poster on some message boards that now kinda embarass me to think about (well, one in particular...AOHell Goth Boards....jeeez.) It was dorky but also introduced me to a lot of music and ideas that I would have otherwise never known about. None of my friends growing up had similiar interests and message boards allowed me to explore my "alternative" taste.

I was trying to avoid message boards throughout college because they took up so much of my time. I recently joined this forum and I love it. It's great to be able to have conversations with people who are on the same page. Most of my friends in the real world are sick of listening to me reference Sonic Youth and other music related things.

when i was at work it was a way to pass the time but now i dont post as much anymore. i just dont find anything here that interesting. its mainly repetetive argumunts and tedious picture posting, people shouting others down etc. i prefer to do other things.

i must say- i think its funny how some of u guys that avg like 10 posts a day & have like 10,000+ some odd posts comlain about how this board is boring. :rolleyes:

haha well done, I know a few people who got trapped in that fantasy world. This is a great forum, so many awesome people and enough quality posts to fuel my interest.

Yeah, I keep in touch with some people who've quit WoW. Mostly it was pretty harmless I think, but there were times I look back on and feel really embarrassed with myself.

Wow, I didn't even realize I had over 18,000 posts actually. Fuck.

I always get a good laugh every time I come here. I love this place.

I come here to learn about new music. Usually I hear about new releases & shit from here before anywhere else.
& sometimes I get really bored
