Oh dude, I can't even begin. Basically he started a thread about selling all of his Sonic Youth memorbilia because he could no longer support the band as some dudes at Geffen allegedly treated him poorly in regards to his homosexuality (genuine, bona fide) and Sonic Youth didn't fly in and save him. And he was a DJ. And he claimed that Sonic Youth discovered and borrowed the name from him. And he threw around the phrase 'multi-million dollar lawsuit' at pretty much everything and spoke as if he were towering above all of us in regards to personal character, quality, and class. I'm super drunk so this is a terrible attempt at a narrative, but that at least gives you an idea.

I started tearing into him pretty hard, swa(y) did too, and he deleted his profile (Tom, not swa(y)) and things got so harsh in regards to everyone thinking he was a ridiculous dillbat that the thread actually got deleted.

can we form a group called Partnership for a Sway Free Board (PSFB) so that he never comes back and we get him banned when he comes back with another username?

How much are you willing to bet he's looking at this now (either as a guest or under a different username)?

Also, the Internet harassment here needs to stop. It's one thing to joke around every so often but some users here really take it too far. Before sway, I had not experienced any such banal personalized online attacks since somebody posted that I was a freak on a message board in early middle school.
