They're poisonous, but that size I don't think can do much. It's these fuckers you have to look out for.

weeeeell,if i found one of those things in my house i'd have him pay the rent...it's HUGE..did you guys notice he's eating a baby scorpion??

I can hear it call out to me in my mind. It's asking me to open the gates and let it in. It sounds strangely familiar, like someone I know intimately, but by 5 I was pretty sure who the people I knew were... And this guy... So I just froze there, and even then, I can't remember clearly what happened. I think after some time, with me just standing there and unable to react properly, it just floated away, the front door closing again on its own accord. I think it had to be invited in...

well,to your information, vampires need to be invited in to enter family houses.

No, the figure stayed at a distance so I couldn't see it's face properly. I think it was a he. Don't know really.

It was a jack russell called rambo. I think he shat himself more than I did.

That guy holding the centipede in his hand is lucky it's feeding on a scorpion.
Those things are nasty and can give you a very painful bite. I'm not afraid of many creatures but he's got balls to do that!

alyasa 07.15.2006 05:01 AM

Actually the venom from one of those babies can kill ya... ;)

And how! They have a strong grip too.

Gulasch Noir 07.15.2006 05:34 AM

spiders with big torsos freak me out. I'm pretty sure, i'd run away, if I saw one at the length of my thumb or bigger. That could be topped though by a spider, which actually made noises . .. . Imagina that. Do they make noises?

Cantankerous 07.15.2006 08:58 AM

PS, i think it was acousticrock87 who said that the poison from a milipede/centipede is nothing to worry about because of the size...
black widows are as big as my thumb nail, and they can kill you.

nicfit 07.15.2006 11:17 AM

well, the most venomous animal of all is a little frog,if i recall orrectly...you touch it,you die.no need to bite or anything.

Shaka 07.15.2006 11:25 AM

I'm scared by this thread, i can't stand insects.

I once had a dream when i was 7 or 8 years old, i was in a coffin and of course everything was black, i couldn't hear anything except me breathing and even that was hard, i was begining to suffocate and i couldn't wake up, i knew i was there to stay. I was buried alive even if i didn't know what that means at the time. I could barely move and couldn't escape, with what could have been several meters of soil above me. I was experiencing what it is to be dead and this experience shaped how i relate to death even to this day. But what amazes me the most is that i was so young then, 7 or 8, and the situation felt so real, feeling the wood around me, the pressure of the soil above, the silence, the heat, the moist... How could i know all that ?

Wow, i don't believe in spirits but child molesters exist ! I think you were very lucky...

alyasa 07.15.2006 11:28 AM

Yeah the poison dart frog is highly poisonous, but that centipede is no normal centipede, it's a giant orange leg centipede, Amazonian, and its poison is enough to cause severe swelling, chills, fever and weakness... :)

Have you ever heard of sleep paralysis? I constantly encounter that too...

Shaka 07.15.2006 11:39 AM

No, i just googled it to see what it was. I experienced something like that a few times but i was dreaming it. It never happened to me while being awake, that must be very disturbing...

edit : well, i found a survey on the web about that, i'm gonna take it cause some questions relate to things i experienced, like dreaming i'm awake when i'm not !

they are neat looking though.
amazonians put the frog's poison on the tips of their spears to aid in their hunting.

nicfit 07.15.2006 12:52 PM

actually i was thinking about a frog species that lives in australia, not in the amazon...i'll google for it,hope i'll find something interesting.

nicfit 07.15.2006 12:56 PM

here is a nice link.

what's the difference between "most venomous" and "most poisonous" animal???
the golden poison frog is the one i was thinking of....i guess (?!?)

acousticrock87 07.15.2006 01:40 PM

Venom has to be injected. Poison can affect you through contact. So ya, the frog would be poisonous. I've seen a show about Sea Wasps. They had something else on it, though, that was way more interesing. It was some kind of dealy sea snail. Crazy. I hate the ocean.

Found it. Cone snail. Apparently they can kill humans.
