I am feeling less stressed due to my recent layoff; I have less money for sure, but the extra time I have feels very good. Lots of biking. A few weeks ago my stomach was in knots most of the time, though.

uughhhh. Last night I had 2 shots of sambuka, a 40 of colt45, some coors light, and smoked a datura/weed joint. Invited the girl I like over and we made out for 1 1/2 hours. Went to work hallucinating tornadoes and my consciousness kept flciking on and off. Felt terrible. Now she's not talking about last night at all. On top of this, I still have a prostate disease and the doctor's sending me to a specialist, and I've waited a full week and there hasn't been a day set. In addition, the only solution I can do now to relieve symptons is a drainage, which involves rubbing an area inside the ass, and I don't feel like buying lube. Now I have to clean the entire house of beer cans for tomorrow so my parents won't find out about the party

All I can say is, "Gross" and, "That really sucks."

Your first child? because this is where stress REALLY starts. You'll soon be worrying about the most irrational things to an irrational extent. The lack of sleep won't help. And just so I don't leave this on a negative note, children are the most joyous thing and the happiness they bring is well worth all the stress.

I voted 'no' because I've really not got anything to complain about: a fantastic partner, a gorgeous daughter, another child on the way, a job I enjoy... I could go on, but it's sickening.

qprogeny79 07.18.2006 05:25 PM

nope, not a goddam thing could stress me out until the end of august when classes start again. got a 97th percentile lsat; working two jobs which take up maybe, MAYBE a total of 10 hours a week -- and that's on hectic weeks; and going to charlottesville over the weekend just for the hell of it. so, stressed? no. bored out of my skull? that's a different story entirely.

nomadicfollower 07.18.2006 05:31 PM

I'm 15 so I have no worries (and I shouldn't).

Hip Priest 07.18.2006 05:34 PM

Quite right.

krastian 07.18.2006 06:13 PM

Well sure.

Yes, first born..I'm liking the name ''Chosen One''...kidding obviously..but yeah I can't imagine the upcoming worries, so I take each day as it is, try to realize the big picture and not be overly anxious about the times to come. this year has just been extraordinarly sour if you folks understand the expression...Oh and pookie thanks for the pep-talk...

running 15 minutes each day helps
swimming a bit makes me feel really relax and highly reduces anxiety

Sport really helps. Especially if you are sitting behind a computer the whole day.
Our bodies need to release tension and excercising is the best way to do it.
If I'm feeling stressed, I normally go for a jog or swim.
I love the feeling of taking a hot shower after sporting in the evening and then going to sleep in a relaxed mood.
Oh yeah, avoiding caffeine does help.
I'm feeling great today.

Hip Priest 07.19.2006 08:22 AM

58.54% of the people on this board are stressed, with another 14.63% clearly expecting to be at some point soon. This is a worry.

sonicl 07.19.2006 08:25 AM

Please, Hip, don't let the board's stress levels worry you.

Hip Priest 07.19.2006 08:26 AM

I'm trying to remain calm. I'd go outside for some fresh air, but I fear I'd melt. Then I would be stressed.
