Courtney will definitely play a major part in the film as she's a celeb often gossiped about... and that she was a major part of Kurts life.

any idea as who to cast Dave and Krist.
When they were making Last Days and hadnt actually said that it wasnt a Kurt movie per say, i thought Lucass Hass was a good choice for Dave..then i found it wasnt dave and yeh.

krist is the best. not a metalhead, like dave and not a self loathing junkie that kurt is. krist rules

so im thinking maybe this guy could play Kurt maybe in younger years?, or axel rose for the confrontation scene, or thurston :D

I'm not too fussed about the prospect of a Nirvana film.
Although I guess Ewan McGregor had the right hair for the part when he was in Velvet Goldmine:

I couldn't find too many picture from the film - only what they have when you do a Google Image Search. And there's only really a couple of scenes where Ewan McGregor actually looks like Cobain... In the others he has brown hair, and does his best Iggy Pop impressions. He's got the bleach job in this scene though:

so what the beans is velvet goldmine about anyway?

It's a Todd Haynes film about the glam rock movement. All the characters are composites of the various musicians from the time - Bowie, Lou Reed etc. Christian Bale plays a journalist who is trying to find out what happened to all of the musicians once the glam scene died. Ewan McGregor plays Curt Wylde (his backing band the Wylde Rats includes Thurston Moore and Mark Arm), who is mostly based on Iggy Pop, but has a few bits inspired by Lou Reed also.

It got some awful reviews when it came out, but I'm quite fond of it in a way. I think Todd Haynes has a good way of telling stories.

ok so after some looking around i found the picture that i believe makes people say "ewan is perfect for kurt"
