I was one hour late for work which is unusual for me as i've never even taken a day off sick and my boss gave me a bollocking for that.He was probably having one of those days but it pissed me off as i'm very good at the little i do.

I do both administration and reservations in a theatre as well as basically dealing with all the fuck ups made on bills plus dealing with complaints etc.As i have to man the phone by myself i certainly do feel like i'm stuck in here for a big chunk of my day.I do love my job,though.It is boring at times but also very demanding at other times plus i get to chat to some really interesting people on the phone.It has its days just like any other job.

I know what you mean by replying in a dead manner.I still reckon the unnerving 'clerk silence' does the trick as they think there is something wrong with their line.I'm never rude to them.I think you can be perfectly sarcastic to someone with a smile on your lips.
