Oh please no. He's talented at one liners and insults, but overall he doesnt have the ability to create a whole set I can ever enjoy, partly because he's Jeremy Clarksons ex-alcoholic Scottish cousin.

About Stewart Lee's new DVD, he did a section on how Richard Hammond (off top gear) is a total fucking weasel
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0i0RXMvzMs

and Richard Hammond did this EXACT same thing on Top Gear last week - He slagged off Mexicans in an extremely lazy manner that wasnt funny at all.
Precognitive comedy, its the way forward

admittedly i find frankie very funny but the 2 live dvds do grate after a while. and his show on channel 4 was in all terrible. as for hammond. im afraid im losing more and more respect for him each time i see him. i once was a fan but it seems more and more the top gear team are blending in with the lowest common denominator. shame because top gear rocks....... i love cars!

I did Top Gear when they just went all Last Of The Summer Wine, especially if they take the piss out of the kind of people who care about exhausts and all that shit (ie their own audience). But theyve just slipped back into safe, lazy shit now, epitomised by that cringeworthy Mexican segment. Admittedly theyre not comediens, but the only reason the show is big is because people like me watch it because its entertaining.

Dave Chapelle.

Dude is a genius, or was.

The episode from Chappelle show from Season two with Wayne Brady basically mirrored what happened to him. I bet he did it on purpose so he could just retire.

He lives a couple hours from me too.

I love Chappelle. But can you elaborate on the "mirroring" I don't really follow what you mean?

Derek 02.25.2011 01:02 PM

The episode where Chappelle quits his show and they get Wayne Brady to humorously take over.

stu666 02.25.2011 01:20 PM

btw anyone outside the UK who wants to watch those Alan Partridge shows can view them here: http://www.youtube.com/user/NorthNorfolkDigital

Puta, this is a long thread, I can't read back.

George Carlin is probably my all-time favorite. Especially when ranting about religion. Or war (and religion). Or traffic.

I like Richard Pryor but I don't always understand what the fuck he's saying.

More recently, Louis CK has been awesome.

YES to Louis CK and Carlin.

Honestly havent seen enough of pryor, or anything really. Just remember his cameos in cheesy 80s movies and then hearing more about HIM than hearing his jokes.
