fantastic. all of em. jam is one of my favorite things in the world.
"yes i know what a parking meters are" is another of the best.
mr lizard.
but ive gotta agree on the leg doctor one.
perfect.

porkmarras 09.19.2006 02:31 PM

That one is just beautiful.Kinda more than comedy,in a way.The agency that hires 'thick' people leaves me in hysterics every time i watch it.Is that on youtube?I walked past Tom Morris(Chris Morris's brother) today.

wax 09.19.2006 02:32 PM

shit.
i just watched that thinking theyd got dot cotton to do an unreleased jam sketch. when it finished i was a bit shocked.
i think that actor lives in shepards bush. i saw him walking around there a few times.
i also saw mr lizard on the virgin train.

static-harmony 09.19.2006 02:33 PM

Is this thread ever going to die?

im finished with animal rights talk now.
we are talking about comedy at the moment, maybe that will kill the thread off.

porkmarras 09.19.2006 02:36 PM

The Doctor's sketches were kinda inspired by this thread.

wax 09.19.2006 02:36 PM

porkmarras 09.19.2006 02:40 PM

Watch it and judge for yourself.

porkmarras 09.19.2006 02:41 PM

He killed the man!I am only six........

Tokolosh 09.19.2006 02:41 PM

Would it be wise to post a picture of a baby seal being clubbed? Um... Nah!

wax 09.19.2006 02:42 PM

english comedy. kind of comedy.
it makes me laugh very hard, but its also very disturbing.
the audio and visuals are manipulated to add to the comedy and to add to the disturbing parts. its too well done to be called a comedy sketch show, its more like a piece of very good art.
click on the links above to watch some sketches.

porkmarras 09.19.2006 02:45 PM

Totally REPPED!!!

porkmarras 09.19.2006 02:49 PM

coincidentaly, i watched the jam festival episode of the day today last night.
a goodun.
still prefer brasseye though.

Rob Instigator 09.19.2006 02:55 PM

I say test all the animals. the ones that fail should be placed in remedial education and thoe ones that are advanced should be allowed to skip a grade.

static-harmony 09.19.2006 02:57 PM

Totally repped Rob Instigator.

porkmarras 09.19.2006 03:02 PM

Yep,the intros are even better than some of the episodes. In a way i prefer stuff like this even more than music because it makes briiliant use of sound within the context of comedy. And it truly is disturbing and sick for the most part.Mmmmm.Lovely!

porkmarras 09.19.2006 03:04 PM

Wax you ought to watch the second series of look around you.

wax 09.19.2006 03:06 PM

thats why i love the leg doctor sketch.
i wanna frame it and out it on the wall.
every last little thing has been thought of.
if some of the lines wernet so completely ridiculous, it would scare the living shit out of me. and thats better than any one else can do with a tv prog or even a film.

wax 09.19.2006 03:07 PM

whats that?
i just watched nathan barley for the first time this month. no idea why it took me so long. love it.

porkmarras 09.19.2006 03:09 PM

Yes,that is true genius. To me Morris is on a par with Lynch for his use of images and sound. The same goes for Iannucci. They just have that alien 'something' that goes beyond the very medium that they are using.

ohhhhh.
i saw some of the first series and couldnt stand it.
seeing as youre specificaly recommending the 2nd series, ill take it that its alot better.
leonard hatred looks good.

porkmarras 09.19.2006 03:18 PM

This is musician Synthesizer Patel, sat at one of the many synthesizers he owns. This instrument is a 'Liquinth' and has water covered keys for a smoother sound.
Synthesizer spends hours at these machines, carefully programming crochets, demi-clefs and arpeggionnes to achieve that special blend of sounds.
Synthesizers can reproduce the sound of almost any known instrument, the most notable exception being the bassoon.
Synthesizers represent the future of music, as musicians like Synthesizer Patel and bands such as Gelg are proving. But, despite this, Synthesizer and others must stay constantly vigilant as synthesizer theft is rife.
Read on for a chance to actually play a synthesizer and to hear a special message from Synthesizer Patel.
