Only kept super metroid, tetris attack, and yoshi's island! |
are you sure you wouldnt bite your ass in the near future?
I would I think, but I am too much of a collector of this shit |
Yeah man, you're right, I really should've kept my copy of Revolution X ;)
Nah dude, I sold.. well, traded.. all those games for a $500 digital video camera. Reeeeeeeeeally nice. I also traded all my Genesis and Cube games for this $1200 laptop. Not bad. All from the same person, a friend whose house I can go to any time and play the games. I sold Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 6, with manuals, together on ebay earlier this year for like $90. Also sold the movie Begotten, mint condition, for $80. Good year :) |
Rarest game I had was Dracula X for the SNES. Sold that one for $80 by itself! Had gotten it for $4!
The only Cube game I miss is Ikaruga.... |
yeah, I got a bunch of games I should sell too. but I think I wont :)
as long as I keep my beloved snatcher copy and around 20 games I love from the bottom of my heart I am fine, hahaha I am trying to find a buyer for a resident evil gem I got, which is almost not existing on the web. I recently mailed a european collector about how high the price for that thing is and he repied with something like that: "you make the price, find a hardcore RE collector from japan or the US and the sky is the limit. these things are probably the rarest RE collectors items ever made by capcom." holy crap, if the price is right I would sell it indeed. but only because its not my favourite game, otherwise I would keep it forever, hahaha. goddamn collectors genes |

like I said, my favorite console. My black one was $30 and it's hooked up to VGA LCD. That's my main one that I use. The indigo one I got via trade for a single NES game (!!!!) and hooked up to HDTV via component cables. That's in the living room. |

al, I have this obscure C64 game called Dance Factory. In it, you program dance routines for two little people, and then start it up and they do your dance to a hilarious disco tune. Interested? |
Quote:
OMG me too! I was JUST hunting for it again an hour ago. I sold it like 3 months ago and now I miss it sooooooo much. I have no idea why I let it go. |
Quote:
what is it? I wanna find the GCN chainsaw controller. :) |
Quote:
original packed? would be the first original c64 game I would have, is it floppy based or a cartridge? how much would that be on your list? Quote:
the chainsaw controller is a joke in comparison. hahahah its the original resident evil 2 special edition which came out for the psx version. included are these: frontcover: back: pin: |
shirt front:
shirt back: the GB is pure coincidence and of course the uncensore version of the german RE2, which was only available around 2 weeks before it got forbidden in germany. the box was released only in germany, switzerland and austria. the pictures are actual pictures of my box. everything is in mint/new condition, except the game, complete but used. but the games is , like the collector said, the unimportant thing about it. I only knew another person who had this. hes still one of my best friends, but he wore the shirt to death, lost the pin and he threw the box in the trash many years ago, hahahaha I think this is by far the most rare Item I own. most RE communities dont know that it exists I mad glad that I found this collector who is the living evidence that this is official, hahaha |
^that's crazy. haha.
The chainsaw controller I want only as a decoration. :) Dance Factory is a cartridge. I only have the cart now. No manual or box or anything. I don't even know what it's worth. $10 at the most I'd guess without googling. haha. I actually have a handful of C64 cartridges from my youth. It was my first console. I had it when I was like 6! (so most of the games are learning games -- like a Sesame Street game with keyboard overlay, etc). |
nice :)
the c64 was my first too. from 86 too around 89/90 I think. but I never had originals. but a shitload of floppies. I still got some sealed packages of floppy discs at home. I am pretty satiesfied with their durability, I own floppies that are around 20-25 years old and they still hold their data. compared to 3.5" discs who lost their data after 5 years this is pretty impressive. |
wow al!
|
...on the next side
|
My C64 never had a disc drive. I only had carts for it. Then I got a 2600, then NES, and then all hell broke loose.

reading this now hidden messages game developers left in the game data, crazy shit! |
Quote:
irony? :) sorry, I was going insane while writing this @noise: really no floppy drive? I didnt know they were released as cartridge consoles only. the first one I saw used tapes as media. that was pretty funny but unreliable Quote:
nice, but who wonders? I would do the same. wasnt aphex twin doing something like the waveform of one of his tracks looked like his face when you play it through a graphic EQ or soemthing like that? maybe I am wrong. I love these hidden things in games. I recently looked for hidden or unfinished levels in Sonic 2 which is full of this shit!!! the beta roms are highly interesting when it comes to abandon content!!!! |
windowlicker
|
really?
never saw it by myself. how to do it? |
Viewing a spectrogram of the second track, with the frequency axis in a logarithmic scale, reveals hidden images of James' face that were apparently synthesized as sound by Aphex Twin for the express purpose of being discovered in this manner. It is one of the few instances of an artist "embedding" images into his music (see also: Interlace - Innuendo, Venetian Snares - Songs About My Cats, Nine Inch Nails - The Warning and My Violent Heart) . A spectrogram of the first track, "Windowlicker", also reveals a spiral at the end of the song. This spiral is more impressive when viewed with an X-Y scatter graph, X and Y being the amplitudes of the L and R channels, which shows expanding and contracting concentric circles and spirals. |
^^thats completely insane. imagine viewing this by coincidence
|
haha I know!
here's the VSnares one: "Look", consists of what sounds like filtered static, that reveals several pictures of Funk's cats when put through a spectrogram program. [1] |
thats even cooler then ATs one
|
word.
I like AFX, but I'm a much bigger VSnares fan. All round. |
Your RE:2 Special Edition is beautiful.
I'm thinking about finally playing/just buying Viewtiful Joe. Any fans of that game here? |
Viewtiful Joe looks incredible. But I didn't actually enjoy playing it.
|
Quote:
hahaha exactly. almost anything about that game is perfect, except the gameplay. I know a lot think its perfect too, but not me. I like challenging games, even more then the ones which are too easy, but this is something like a jump n beat game which looks awesome but plays mediocre Quote:
I wish someone with too much money would think the same, hrhrhr but I agree its def one of the prettier collectors editions through and through from the packaging to the content |
Quote:
word. Actually playing it is such a letdown compared to seeing pictures of it, or watching the intro movie. |
yes, I thought something is wrong with me, hahahah
I saw some videos of it, read some reviews which were all over the top. purchased both games for the gamecube and forced myself through part 1. after that I never thought about playing part 2, its still sealed |
hey it is what it is... and remember, I'm a bigtime Capcom fan. They're way way way up there for me. I wish I could find a t-shirt of the Capcom logo. Y'know the yellow letters with blue border? Just saying.
|
definately, but nothing easier then to do it by yourself!!!!
this one right? easy vectorization work. to get it properly done around 1 - 2 hours, if not less. after that colors, size etc. doesnt matter, do what you want with it. it owuld also be possible to let it sewed (right word) to a shirt, which would look badass, I think! any experience with adobe illustrator? I the workspaces in my university werent closed over summer, I could even silkscreen print it, to add some artistic flavour. note to me: make yourself a silkscreen printed sonic shirt before getting your degree, hahaha I want a Sega shirt, but sega turns out to be a crappy company in the last decade after they fired all the cool guys, so I would worship the wrong people with that. |
Quote:
I loved it. You can get it for a few bucks I'm sure. It's really simple and easy to get through, so you won't be coming back to it a lot. That whole studio's output was good. I even liked God Hand. But, of course, Okami is one of the best games ever. |
^yes you can get it for a few bucks. Literally. I believe the going rate at Gamestop is $2.99 for Viewtiful Joe 1 & 2.
|
Quote:
YES! Look how badass that logo is. Heart. |
Just started Final Fantasy 13.
|
after playing Flower Sun and Rain for the third time through I am on a major grasshopper trip. so I am playing through contact for the second time now. anybody got this too, and want to exchange some friendship codes? I wanna de-lock wifi island on that game!!! |
plan to get 2 DS's. want ideas of good games that can be played with them linked.
do they link by internal wifi or do I need a cord to do it? please be HALP making. I'm a nintendo newb. |
no cable needed. but with a ds you can only play ds games with two or more people.
GBA games wont work in multiplayer. highly recommended for DS muliplayer: Mario kart mario party Castlevania (forgot which part) Animal Crossing (can be fun) New Super Mario Brothers and // or Mario 64 DS (the minigames on it are hilarious in bigger groups these games you can get evrywhere, but there are a lot more playworthy ones! these are for the start. be aware that you can play some games up to 16 players...but most of them are up to 4 players. and for some you only need one actual gamecartridge, the others can download the data from the host DS in the wi-fi network you created with it. |
