There's something I really like about that first one Nicfit. I would hang that on my wall for sure.

EMMAh 07.09.2008 01:54 PM

I feel like I'm in a non-creative slump

Those are wonderful, nicfit. I especially like the second.

It took me like five seconds to figure out what the second one was.

The second one reminds me of this:

Another South America Dec 06 holiday pic from me:

Cantankerous 07.12.2008 01:09 AM

that boggles the mind
nice job, melly

MellySingsDoom 07.12.2008 01:17 AM

Merci beaucoup, Miss C. We were driving towards El Chalten, and we hit this bit of highway. After a couple of minutes, we asked our driver to stop, took piccies and just took in the scene. The big mountain on the right is Mount Fitz Roy, which we climbed up to see a couple of days after this pic.

Cantankerous 07.12.2008 01:18 AM

that's really crazy

it's so big and expansive

MellySingsDoom 07.12.2008 01:24 AM

It blows the mind, eh? That's one of the (many) things I love about nature and the environment - you experience stuff like this and all the bullshit of "real" life just GOES. If you were there, you'd really be blown away by the beauty of it all.

And talking of beauty, here's a pic for you of Mount Fitz Roy itself:

Cantankerous 07.12.2008 01:33 AM

jesus.

MellySingsDoom 07.12.2008 01:42 AM

Gorgeous eh? Well worth the 4 hour arse-knackering trek to see that. It was cold as fuck, windy, but soooo beautiful. It was a massivly cloudy day, and 20 minutes before we got to the summit of our trek, the clouds broke and we go to see Fitz Roy totally exposed.

I take it that you've taken many a pic on your European tour so far - hope you've managed to get some great ones on the way.

Cantankerous 07.12.2008 01:43 AM

most of the pictures i've taken are just retarded polaroid snapshots but i got some cool ones in amsterdam that might be in this thread (if they're not they're in "post yr. art or die")

MellySingsDoom 07.12.2008 01:47 AM

I'll have a look for those presently. I've got old pictures of me in Amsterdam on my 21st birthday that I need to scan at some point. Some good pics of pretty Amsterdam houses and canals, plus a few of me looking shockingly hungover on my actual birthday, heh heh.

MellySingsDoom 07.13.2008 08:44 AM

Have just sorted out a bunch of pics I took on a trip to New Zealand in Jan 2005, and here's one or two for you all:

Tongariro Crossing - Red Crater summit

Climbing up Mount Ruhapheu. In the background is Mount Ngaruhoe, which was Mount Doom in the "Lords Of The Rigns" films...

greedrex 07.13.2008 09:15 AM

good pics Melly

MellySingsDoom 07.13.2008 09:17 AM

Thanks, greedrex. I particularly like the Ruhapehu one, as it brings back memories of climbing it.

i agree. anything i've ever done, even stuff that has turned out decent, has just been fucking about for fun, not SRS BSNS. basically anyone can take a cool picture, some are just better at it than others.

Anngella 07.14.2008 12:37 PM

Mrs. Butcher, lovely photos!

DeadDiscoDildo 07.14.2008 01:40 PM

These pale in comparison to the photographic talent i've seen here, and this is just with a shitty digital camera, but I think some of these are kind of cool so I'll post away! hope you like them.

I was about 30-40 feet away from this son of a bitch! It was awesome!

Also, lovely shots Mrs. Butcher.

DeadDiscoDildo 07.15.2008 06:24 PM
