Simply beautiful. Hitchcock truly is one of the great masters of staging, and The Birds is still my favorite of his after all of these years. The ending is so blunt, and cold. I love it.

The greatest ensemble cast in movie history, in my opinion. :)

I agree. While I tend to find most of Hitchcock's other films 'clever', The Birds is the one I find actually disturbing. The scene where you hear the schoolchildren singing in their classroom while the birds gather outside on the climbing frame is one of my all-time favourites.




Saturday Night-Sunday Morning. 8/10. "Don't let the bastards grind you down."

I watched this awful dog of a movie Jawbreaker with a chick who said it was hilarious, and then a couple days later I realized had modeled her life after it. She actually tried to set me up not unlike the way the lead character "Courtney" sets up an unsuspecting fool who slept with her. I actually had to give a statement to a cop who went back and warned her that filing a false police report is a crime. Yes, this was the babysitter, for those keeping score.

I guess you could dismiss some parts of it quite easily,but with a small step of the imagination its a good film,the soundtrack by World's End Girlfriend worked well.The original manga must be great,i want to track down a copy!.

9/10 i thought it was probably one of the better rock docs ive seen. Brian Jonestown Massacre is actually pretty rad but Dandy Warhols not so much.

What's with the Brits and releasing films about teenage girls in love with seedy older men? This is "An Education" for people who are more into Sydney Lumet, way more fucked up. Amazing acting, Michael Fassbender will be huge.

Those men aren't old, they just look like it. You'd never guess that Gordon Brown is in fact only 23. It's the water.
