spare a prayer for this poster, who was meant to go to see them tonight but is stuck in bed with sickness. i wish i could have given the ticket to someone, nevermind. I hope to be in a better state for their gig tomorrow or next week.

tell us how it was. i may go see them when they play here, but i have until february to think about it.

sarramkrop 12.02.2008 04:23 PM

considering i'm quite the sucker for this sort of girl bands, i'm going to like them way more than girls aloud for sure.

Yeah. I'd never heard of it either.

Well, I saw them last night at the Windmill in Brixton, and they were fucking great. Loud, fast, those dual harmonies and that buzzsaw pop sound which gets me every time. Has the sound of love and loss ever been so infectious? No. So those who can, get thee to seeing them in the UK.

sarram - what day is the Madame JoJo's gig on next week? EDIT - I found it: Tues 9th Dec. I should most def be around for that - will be in touch with ya about this :)

blunderbuss 12.03.2008 05:11 AM

Remaining UK dates:

3 Dec 2008 Old Blue Last London, England
4 Dec 2008 The Social Nottingham, England
5 Dec 2008 Club Evol Liverpool, England
6 Dec 2008 Captain’s Rest Glasgow, Scotland
7 Dec 2008 Cockpit Leeds, England
8 Dec 2008 Colosseum Coventry, England
9 Dec 2008 Madame Jojo’s - White Heat London, England
10 Dec 2008 The Deaf Institute Manchester, England
11 Dec 2008 Club Fandango at Freebutt Brighton, England
12 Dec 2008 MacBeth - Ghost School London, England
13 Dec 2008 Club Kute at Cooler Bristol, England
14 Dec 2008 Clwb Ifor Bach Cardiff, Wales

Having been unwell last night and unable to get to The Windmill, I've bought a ticket for Madame Jo Jo's instead. Hopefully I'll be fit and well by then.

jimbrim 12.03.2008 09:26 AM

they are very cute

anyone got their lyrics?

narlus 12.03.2008 01:00 PM

i saw 'em a few weeks ago. good energy, but nothing too memorable, really.

atsonicpark 12.03.2008 01:02 PM

neat-o! i think she upgraded from a squire to a full-fledged fender!

I don't find them particularly "hot" unlike some people, but they look memorable.

lechaoscestmoi 12.03.2008 01:04 PM

their looks are really memorable, yes.

Yeah, I think they did that right after I saw them. I saw them on 9/29 and she still had the 51 but the pics from October gigs have been mostly fender.
