bc he's an island of such great complexity. really dissapointed with the xtra disc. this may be my last of these remastered things for me. This one was nearly impossbile to get through and i'm a diehard fan. The days of Sue Me Jack type quality are long over.

I noticed that too. I think they were doing loads of pot at the time, more so than usual.

There's no info on the record sleeve except that it's 1997, in Europe. I think I read somewhere that it's a compilation. Bad luck about not getting it yet, maybe mine was flukily sent early or something? I guess if they sent out most copies on the release date, you wouldn't really expect it to reach here for at least a week, so there's prob not cause for panic yet!

i got an email now explaining why it's late:

If you don't care to have all the bsides, alternate versions, and unreleased pieces then this certainly is not for you; this kind of compendium is not for the newbie listener, but is a tremendous package to me. While most of the songs I've heard in one form or another, the quality is a great improvement from the old mixes and bootlegs. I haven't listened through the live Lp yet.

However, no mix has been able to match what the lads sounded like live - the closest might be some DAT soundboards from the period where the taper didn't have any bass rolloff.

Awesome tune, but each to their own. How does everyone feel about the extra disc's worth of material? How bout the extra live thing? Didn't place an order for it..
