I'm not in an uplifting mood. Keep dreaming.

I think in the USA that the fat and lazy masses expect something for nothing, and are TAUGHT this by those who want to keep them in control, or who want to control their MONEY

too many have lost sight of the old "american dream."

Funny though, 'cause I was thinking eaxacly about something you posted that was so stupid I had to read it twice to seriously believe you meant what you wrote. You're obviously an idiot beyond repair.

I'm glad that you feel that way, that you don't come to ridiculous conclusions about others, that you don't judge others for having different opinions or for being different... because it's people like that who generalize entire populations, and is why there is so much hate in the world. I'm glad you make a contribution to society and that you aren't one of those losers who posts 20,000+ times on a message board in less than three years.

I bet that you've had to think about a comeback harder than it took me to decide that you're an idiot. I have 20.000 + posts in much less than 3 years, by the way.

acousticrock87 01.27.2009 09:43 PM

It seems that every rant about "people who judge others" ends in a ridiculously judgmental statement. Just a curious observation.

cars_willkillyou 01.27.2009 10:15 PM

i think the name "united states of america" is misleading these days. i mean, the reason the name is UNITED STATES is because the states were each supposed to have different state laws, and each state would kind of be its own country...like ancient Greece more or less. The difference between the two is that for the most part, America's states are united and aren't constantly waging war on one another.

But now a days, the federal government has discouraged states from being different. For instance, as long as a state has the legal drinking age at 21, the government helps pay for roads and what not. That's stupid.

I have no sources to cite. This is all information that I have gathered, and I am only 90% positive that all of these statements are true.

regardless, i think the USA needs a revolution and a name change.

acousticrock87 01.28.2009 01:22 AM

I'm not sure I'm following.

You're saying that we should change our name, "The United States," because the states are too united?

gualbert 01.28.2009 01:29 AM

I just noticed that Obama says "The United States" and Bush, "America".

no. we should change our name, because we arent seperate/individual states anymore. i mean sure, there are slightly different laws in each state, but for the most part, everywhere is the same. It's one thing to be united, to be controlled is entirely different.

It's like the old saying goes..."One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them"

the ring being a metaphor for money/greed/corruption/etc...

Yeah, isn't it actually around 30,000 posts counting your old username?

You are EXACTLY correct
it is a way for the federal government to enforce social laws on the states, instead ofleting theindividual states, as decreed in the bill of rights, to decide their own laws

MellySingsDoom 01.28.2009 10:17 AM

Rob I - I may have this one wrong, but isn't there a political party based in Texas, who "stand" of a platform of Texas seceeding from the USA and essentially becoming it's own country? I recall being told something along these lines by an American guy a couple of years back...

Kloriel 01.28.2009 10:20 AM

this is like a kung fu battle. now everyone must fight until their ankles explode.

dumps a bucket of rodent guts on melly. nothing personal there, mind.
